講義目的及び到達目標 Course Aims and Objectives
To be able to express their thoughts in English in a positive manner.
To be able to express in English their thoughts regarding familiar topics and things of global interest.
To practice critical thinking processes and give their opinions about topics of social sig nificance.
To be able to improve English language skills by developing vocabulary and reading sk ills and understanding of tone, style and knowledge of communication methods. To be able to understand communication strategies and expand English vocabulary to i mprove ability to listen, read, write and speak in English.
To be able to promote the principles of inclusion, diversity, democracy, skill acquisition , inquiry, critical thought, value of perspectives, and self-reflection.

多文化コミュニケーション論 II gives access to 15 lessons. Students will learn how to e ngage in various components of the discussion process.

履修上の注意・履修要件 Class Rules
1. Please listen to instructions in class, prepare and review, and participate actively in c lass activities. Absence and lateness will also affect your participation grade.
2. Students who are absent from a class should ask a classmate about what happened i n the class and do the necessary preparation, review, and homework before the next cl ass.
3. Students who are absent four or more times will receive a grade of Not Evaluated. 4. If you are late three times, it will be considered one absence. If you are 30 minutes o r more late, it will be considered one absence.
5. Class activities will be conducted in English. Please use English as much as possible. Zero tolerance policy.
6. During class, cell phones should be turned off and private conversations avoided. This class is scheduled to be conducted in person on campus. However, depending on t he number of students enrolled, as a measure against coronavirus infection, the studen ts may need to be divided into classrooms which are connected online, or the students may need to take classes online from home every other week. Therefore, students will need to arrange for an Internet environment using a PC or tablet, Wi-Fi, etc. The final d ecision about this will be made after registration is completed, and students will be not ified about any changes at that time.
