The Japanese Society Study Program offers opportunities of learning about Japanese society through our various courses including Sociology, Political Science, Public Administration and Law. The students are enrolled in the Faculty of Law, Department of Politics & Public Administration.

現代ビジネスプログラム
The Contemporary Business Program offers courses in Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing and Economics. The students are enrolled in the Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Business Administration.
経営学・会計学・マーケティング・経済学について学ぶプログラムです。現代ビジネス学部現代ビジ ネス学科に所属します。

・1 year: September to August / １年： 9 月 – 8 月
Class duration: 30 weeks total (2 semesters) per year / 授業実施 年 30 週（2 学期制） Arrival date: Around the middle of September / 入国時期：9 月中旬 Application Start: February 1 / 申し込み受付開始：2 月 1 日

Application Requirements 出願資格
(1)Your home institution must be a partner school of YGU.
You must be enrolled in your home institution while studying at YGU. Furthermore, you cannot graduate from your home institution while you are still attending the YGU program.
本学と学術交流協定を締結した海外の大学に在学していること
プログラム実施期間を通して所属大学に在学している必要があります。実施期間中に所属大学を 卒業する学生は応募が認めまれません。
(2)The students must have a certain level of Japanese proficiency to take courses in Japanese.
It is strongly recommended that students should have higher than N3 level of Japanese proficiency to be eligible to take courses in YGU.
Students who have already achieved N2 level of Japanese proficiency will be able to take courses from the Japanese Social Study Program or the Contemporary Business Program. The N3 level students have to take intensive Japanese Language courses in fall semester (the first semester at YGU). In the following semester (spring semester), the students can take courses from the Japanese Social Study Program or the Contemporary Business Program with the requirement classes of Japanese Language.
本学の授業を受講するのに必要な一定の日本語能力を有すること 具体的には、日本語能力試験 N3 レベル以上の日本語能力を有すること。 日本語能力が N2 レベル以上の学生は、「日本社会研究プログラム」または「現代ビジネスプログ ラム」の講義科目を履修することが出来ます。 日本語能力が N3 レベルの学生は、「日本語集中プログラム」を 1 学期間受講した後に、講義科目 の履修が認められます。
(3)The students must be able to support themselves financially for all expenses including tuition fees and living expenses while participating in the program.
As a rough estimate, a minimum of JPY 50,000 per month is needed. This varies for each individual.
プログラム参加費の他に滞在期間中の参加費を支弁する経済力を有すること 目安として、1 ヶ月最低 5 万円程度が必要です。(個人により異なります)
(4)Students are in adequate health (both physically and mentally). 心身ともに健康であること

For students with a fee waiver
For partner schools with which YGU has a tuition waiver agreement, one student from each university may have the program fees and dormitory fee waived. However, the student is responsible for paying his/her living expenses, such as utilities, food, textbooks and public health insurance, transportation expenses between airport and YGU, airfares, travel insurance, travel expenses, field tour fees, mobile phone fees and personal WiFi.
山梨学院大学と相互学費免除の協定を結んだ協定校の学生は、１大学につき１名、プログラム参加費 と寮費を免除されます。生活費(光熱水費・食費･生活用品･教科書費用･国民健康保険等)、空港-学校間 の交通費・航空運賃・旅行保険・旅行代・各種スタディツアー参加費・携帯電話料金・個人利用の WiFi などは自己負担になります。
For students without a fee waiver
For students whose tuition is not waived, the program fees for the YGU Exchange Program are 600,000(JPY) per year. Such students are also responsible for their living expenses such as dormitory fee, utilities, food, textbooks and public health insurance, transportation expenses between airport and YGU, airfares, travel insurance, travel expenses, field tour fees, mobile phone fees and personal WiFi.
YGU 短期留学生プログラムの参加費は 1 年間 600.000 円です。生活費(寮費・光熱水費・食費･生活 用品･教科書費用･国民健康保険等)、空港-学校間の交通費・航空運賃・旅行保険・旅行代・各種スタデ ィツアー参加費・携帯電話料金・個人利用の WiFi などは自己負担になります。

*(1) The above expenses are estimates. It varies for each student. /上記の金額は概算です。個人により異なります。
*(2) Besides the above expenses, the students will have to buy textbooks twice a year (at the beginning of every semester). The amount varies depends on the courses to choose, but it will be up to around 20,000 yen. /上記の他、年 2 回教科書を購入。最大 20,000 円ほど必要になります。
*(3) The public health insurance covers 70% of medical and dental costs. Students will pay the remaining 30% when receiving treatment at hospitals and clinics. /国民健康保険に加入者は病医院受診時の自己負担額が 3 割 で済みます。
*(4) The payment procedures for utility costs differ for each dormitory. /光熱水費の支払方法は寮により異なります。
【Note/注意】 1. The university assigns dormitory rooms. Students may not choose their own rooms. /留学生寮の部屋割りは大学側で行います。学生が選ぶことは出来ません。

The International Exchange Center provides international students with a wide variety of opportunities throughout the year to enjoy and experience Japanese customs and cultures and to communicate with Japanese students. Most of these events or tours cost from 500 yen to 2,000 yen. Some events are for free!!
国際交流センターでは年間を通じ、留学生のみなさんに日本文化を体験・日本人学生との交流を楽しむ イベントやツアーを用意しています。参加費は無料から 2,000 円程度のものがほとんどです。 SHINGEN KO Festival/信玄公祭り

Yamanashi is endowed with rich nature, famous for beautiful mountains like Mt. Fuji, which was registered as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site in 2013.

Also, at Yamanashi Prefectural Maglev Exhibition Center, we are able to see, learn and experience the fastest bullet train in the world based on the maglev technology.

It is an integrated academic institution with an affiliated kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, senior high school, junior college, university, and graduate school. Yamanashi Gakuin University has developed a variety of educational programs. It is a unique institution that offers a free and open environment and strong student support services to enable students to challenge themselves in accordance with their interests. Also YGU puts a great deal of effort into sports promotion, and contributes significantly to the development of Japanese athletics and to improving Japan’s international competitiveness. Our 17 special training clubs have demonstrated amazing results at world championships and national competitions, and the university has produced many Olympic athletes.
山梨学院大学には多くの教育プログラムがあります。自由で開かれた環境を持つ、とてもユニークな 大学で、学生一人ひとりが興味を持ったことに取り組むことが出来るよう全力でサポートしています。 また、スポーツの促進･日本のスポーツの国際競争力の強化にも大変力を注いでいます。１7 の特別強化 部は世界選手権大会及び国際大会で素晴らしい結果を残しており、多くのオリンピック選手も輩出して います。
