Abstract The genus?l(ijJcetiaof Thailandisrevised and 12 species includingfournew species, M. membranaeea, ML ovatistipulata, ML Panieulij2)rmis,and Ml siamensis are enumerated.

The Malayan species M. ianceelataisreduced to a synonym of M, .t?isciculataof

The genus M]eetia

is

characterized as erect shrub or rarely shrublet,

branch

with

bark

soon

becoming pa!e

corky or rarely not,

glandulose bract

and calyx, two- or rarely

more-celled ovary whose placenta

is

swallen and

bears

many ovules,

yellow

or rarely

white corolla, and white

berry.

There are about

30

species

in Himalayas, South

and

Southwest China, Continental

Southeast

Asia, and Malesia.

Hitherto five

species ,of

Myeetia

are reported

from Burma (KuRz 1877, CRAm 1911

& l914),

fbur from Indochina (PiTARD 1923),

and

fbur from Malaya (RmLEy 1923).

In

Thailand CRAiB

(1932)

enumerated eight species

including

one endemic species.

Recently many specimens were collected

in

this country.

I

examined the specimens

twelve Thai species of

M"cetia. Four

species are

here

newly

described. M. Ianceolata
