二、三の製鉄用原料炭の化学構造に関する若干の考察 Chemical Structural Studies on Some Coking Coals

要旨 :

製鉄用原料炭を急速加熱し,赤外吸収スペクトル,元素組成の変化から石炭の化学構造の 変化を調べた。その結果次のようなことがわかった。石炭は500℃以下の温度では芳香性成 分にはほとんど変化がなく,脂肪族性成分の揮発による芳香族性成分の濃縮が起こってい る。同じ強粘炭といわれている石炭でも豪州炭のSouth Bulli 炭と米国炭の Itmann 炭では 芳香族生成分の構造に若干の相違が見られた。

Synopsis :

Some coking coals, carbonized at temperatures up to 800℃, have been examined by infrared methods and elemental analysis. The most marked changes in the coals by heating to between 500℃ and 600℃ were a loss of aliphatic materials and relative enrichment of aromatic materials. It is suggested that aromatic materials in the coals are stable a temperatures up to 500℃. Chemical structures of an Australian bituminous coal, South Bulli, are slightly different from those of an American bituminous coal, Itmann.
