To prevent hydrolysis of poly(L-lactic acid)(PLLA) / natural rubber(NR) / epoxidized NR(ENR) composites with a high impact and thermal mechanical properties, effect of the amount of addition of polycarbodiimide(PCDI) or the molecular weights of PCDI was examined on thermal and mechanical properties of the resulting PLLA composites. The thermal and mechanical properties of the composite materials were evaluated by JIS K7160 and ISO 75-B methods.

PLLA単体,NR,ENRを配合した配合系Aより,

PCDIを添加した配合系Bはいずれも耐衝撃性が向 上していることを認めた.これは,PCDI のカルボ ジイミドとENRのエポキシ基が反応することによ り,界面が強化され,耐衝撃性が向上したと考えた

3-2 添加 PCDI の分子量が PLLA 複合体の物性に及ぼ す効果

PLLA複合体にPCDI添加することで耐衝撃性お よび耐熱性の改善を認めた.しかし,これらはすべ

て110℃,2hのアニール処理後の結果で,加工時等

の欠点となる.PCDIの分子量を低下すると,PLLA 結晶化の抑制が起こりにくくなると考えられ,添加 PCDI の分子量変化が耐衝撃性および耐熱性の及ぼ す影響を検討した.分子量の異なる5種類のPCDI, PCDI-a~e(表3)を添加し,添加PCDIの分子量が 耐衝撃性,耐熱性に及ぼす影響を検討した.各添加 剤は表4に示す割合でPLLAに添加,測定を行った.

図3ら,110℃,2 hrのアニール後では,分子量 よる耐熱性の影響は大きくない.一方,耐衝撃性は,

一端分子量の増大と共に増加するがその後は低下し,

耐衝撃性の改善にはPCDIの分子量に最適値が存在 すると考えられる.PLLA /NR/ENR/PCDI複合体で は, PCDIがPLLA とENRの両者に反応
