LFS って何？

Linux From Scratch (LFS) is a project that provides you with step-by-step

instructions for building your own custom Linux system, entirely from

source code.

Linux From Scratch(LFS) とは、自分専用にカスタマイズされた Linux シ

ステムを全てソースコードから構築するための段階的な指南書をみなさ

んに提供しようというプロジェクトです。

つまりどういうことだってばよ？

Linux はフリーソフトの集合体

→ 必要なソースコードを全てコンパイルすれば動かせる。

→ 自分で一からインストールして動かそう！

LFS から提供されるのは基本的には LFS Book のみ。

→ ソースコードをダウンロードすることからはじめる。

自分ですると言ったら本当に何もかも自分でする

まずマシンに “別の”Linux をインストールすることからはじめる。

→Linux をコンパイルするために使う Linux を用意する！

パーティションも一時 OS にあるソフトを使って作る！

来年の計算数学 II で誰か僕と一緒に

LFS を組み立ててくれないかな · · · 。
