The school has two semesters; the first semester is from April to October, the second is from October to March. Students generally study in their own classrooms but sometimes in the special rooms for classes such as music, science and home economics. There are approximately 30 students in one class with 1 or 2

teachers. There are about 3 or 4 classes in each grade.

We have an International Class where students whose mother tongue is not Japanese can receive an extra language support.

There is no uniform. Students can choose what to wear including hats, shoes and jackets, however, no accessories are permitted. Students wear two types of indoor shoes in school. They change shoes before they go into the building and change again when entering the gymnasium.

Backpack

Most students use “Randoseru” (Japanese satchel), but other types of backpack (day#pack) are also acceptable. Extra bag

Another bag will be useful when students bring back their artworks and large materials. Textbooks

Students receive the first set of textbooks in April and another set in October. Indoor shoes

Two pairs are necessary; one pair for school buildings, another for the gymnasium. Any type of shoes with rubber soles is acceptable.

Swimming suit, cap, beach sandals (flip#flops) and a bath towel

The color of the swimming cap is different in each grade, and is provided by school. (a plastic pad laid under writing paper)

In the pencil case you need several pencils, a red pencil, an eraser and a black marker. (not a paper bag but a small bag made of cloth)
