9 CONCLUSIONS AND DIRECTIONS FOR FUTURE STUDIES
9.2 DIRECTIONS FOR FUTURE STUDIES
While the thesis proposed another approach to evaluate ICT policies from the consumer point of view, there are many areas in which additional research can be conducted. First, since one assumption of this approach is that a consumer in the market will act rationally, however, there are many situations in ICT markets that some irrational decisions are made by consumers. This is in the field of behavioral economics. Future research effect that takes into account of these phenomena can be examined. Another possible research would be to apply this proposed approach into different markets and see whether the model would provide insights about the ICT markets as in the case of Thailand. Finally, a proposed model can be applied to the same data set that has all the ICT relevant data so that a profile of users who are adopting ICT services can be characterized.
