筆者は法律学の専門家でないため、法律学研究者にとって有益な情報を提 供することができていないかもしれません。特に、日本の法律学研究は大陸 法の研究においても盛んであり、この点でも現在のところ詳細な情報をもっ ていません。代わりに、「経済学のインターネット」で紹介した「lntemet resources for Economists」の法律版を紹介します。 Erik J． Heelsによる

です。これは、アメリカのインターネット上のリソースを紹介しています。
情報量でいいますと、「lnternet resources for Economists」をはるかに超え、
ASCII形式ファイルで約429 Kbyteもあります。蹴o滋y瓢o粥聾Pにより、
ftp．midnight．comより入手してください。ディレクトリとファイル名は／
pub／Lega1List／1egallist，txtです。
法律学の研究者は、経済学研究者よりも情報の交換の場としてインター ネットを活用しているようです。それは、】ma戴薫g臨tの数を見れば分かりま す。経済学関連のmailing 9istの数倍にも上ります。どのようなmailing iist

Elsewhere」を参考にしてください。
5 終わりに
本稿では、アメリカにおけるインターネットの話が中心でした。もちろん、
アメリカがインターネットの最先進国だからです。日本においても、政府に より情報通信網の整備が計画されていますが、各省庁の足並みがそろってい ない状況ではアメリカに大いに引き離されることでしょう。そして通信技術 の開発もさることながら、通信回線を一刻も早く太いものにしなければ、日 本の情報通信網は全く使いものにはなりません。日本の情報通信行政の整備
については、アメリカ政府からも要請が出されるしまっです。
日本の大学・研究機関によるW3サーバの立ち上げも進んでいます。しか し、アメリカに比べ、情報の提供量は心寂しいものがあります。日本の大学 の経済学部では、東京大学のW3サーバがありますが、現在のところ学部紹 介・教宮紹介に終わっています急8インターネットは、予算をもらっていたと

はいえボランティア精神によりその内容を拡充してきました。インターネッ トの世界を広げるためにも、単なる情報受容だけでなく、情報提供を進めて いかなければなりません。
さて、文化系の人間の中には、コンピュータと聞いただけで耳を塞ぐ人も まだいます。パソコンまでならどうにか理解したけれど、UNIXまでは…。
という人も多いでしょう。本稿が少しでも、そのアレルギーを取り除いてく れることを期待します。そしてすこしでもUNIXのことがわかれば、イン ターネットの世界も広がります。UNIXの現在の状況については、［7］がわ かりやすく参考になります。
現在、「インターネット大学」なる実験が計画されています（『日本経済新 聞』9月5日付）。情報通信網を利用して新たな社会が産み出されようとして い象す。今後、インタ・−mネットの世界が我々にとって重要なものになること は間違いありません。
本稿は静岡大学情報処理センターのFTPサイトにも置いておきます。

です。ディレクトリはDOC／ecolaw／です。ファイル名は、 ecolaw．sit（binary
