a n dA l L i  ‑ b a s e d  a l l o y s  became c a n d i d a t e  m a t e r i a l s  t o  r e p l a c e  t h e  c o n v e n t i o n a l   m a t e r i a l s  f o r  c l o s u r e  p a n e l s  o f  v a r i o u s  c a r  m o d e l s  a n d  a i r c r a f t s ,  r e s p e c t i v e l y .  F o r  t h e s e  r e a s o n s ,  s u c h   a l l o y s   w e r e  s u b j e c t e d  t o   e x t e n s i v e   s t u d i e s .   T h i s   g r o u p  o f  a l l o y s   i s   damage t o l e r a n t   a n d  h i g h l y   c o r r o s i o n  r e s i s t a n t  i n  t h e  a m b i e n t  e n v i r o n m e n t s .  

I n  t h i s  p r e s e n t a t i o n ,  some r e s u l t s  w i l l  b e  shown on AlMgSi ( 6 x x x )  a l l o y s  a s  w e l l  a s  A l L i  ( 8 0 9 0 ) ,

d e v e l o p e d  i n  t h e  i n d i v i d u a l  a l l o y s  h a v e  b e e n  s h o w n .  I n  AIL ト b a s e da l l o y s ラ as t r e s s  h a s  b e e n  made on 

t h e  e l o n g a t i o n  t o  f r a c t u r e .  F o r  s a f e t y  t h e  s t r a i n  s h o u l d  n o t  b e  l e s s  t h a n  1 0 % .   I t   s h o u l d  b e  l o o k e d  f o r
