Based on its engineering, procurement and construction (EPC)

system, Iwai continuously evolves its technologies by integrating

the most advanced fluid treatment, construction, and control

techniques. With this approach, the Company is aiming to be the

Iwai makes the most of its engineering prowess and sanitation-related

technologies in every industry producing fluid-based products. The

Company has perfected prefabrication construction techniques and

designed process control systems that enable total support for every

kind of production plant.

Iwai builds and installs systems for food processing plants that are

made to fully satisfy users. From the planning stage onward, we focus

on compliance with international standards, including ISO 22005, a

standard for traceability in the food supply chain, and ISO 22000, a

standard for food safety management systems.

Iwai designs these plants to conform to good manufacturing practices

and offers reliable and speedy maintenance and repairs through its

comprehensive after-sales service. In this way, we strive to anticipate

the needs of our customers and build relations based on mutual trust.

Responding to Diverse Needs via the Iwai Techno Center

The Iwai Techno Center pursues sophisticated research and development aimed at enhancing the Company’s ability to respond to market demands for more advanced and complex plants as well as consistently high quality. The center closely studies various aspects of manufacturing, from material selection and surface finishing to optimal construction, and then develops instruments and equipment that precisely meet users’ specifications. This involves developing new products, carrying out trials, conducting tests on sterilization, cleaning, and control processes, and measuring physical properties.

数々の業界初を実現してきた IWAI は、3次元CAD（配管設計）を業界で初め て1985 年に導入。またプロセス制御システムの開発においても先鞭をつけ ています。プラントハードにおける確かな実績と、経験を背景に、基礎から組 み立てた無駄の無い、乳業・飲料・食品・医薬品工場に最適な総合情報システ ムを構築しています。

Leveraging Independently Developed Software and Control Technologies

Among its numerous industry-firsts, Iwai adopted 3D computer-aided design (CAD) for the design of plumbing systems ahead of all other companies in the industry in 1985. Iwai was also a forerunner in the development of process control systems. Drawing from its many achievements and extensive experience in production plant construction, Iwai provides comprehensive information systems designed to eliminate inefficiencies in production and optimized specifically for plants that produce dairy products, beverages, food and pharmaceuticals.

Sharing Information through Technical Seminars

Iwai has been holding technical seminars for food and beverage producers as well as pharmaceutical firms in every region of Japan since 1992. Large numbers of customers have attended the events, which provide a venue for the Company to directly share information on ensuring safe product manufacturing. In the seminars, Iwai presents its latest technologies and new materials, as well as explains how to conduct maintenance and handle various systems.
