1. TO SUPPORT OUR CHILDREN
私たちの子供たちを支えていくこと
PTA extra-curricular events give the kids a chance not only to have fun but also to interact socially with classmates outside class, which can be difficult in our geographically diverse population.
PTAとしての課外活動的なイベントは、子供たちが楽しい時間を過ごせる機会となるだけでなく、地理的に広い範 囲に自宅が点在するという理由から、普段校外でクラスメートと会うことが難しい子供たちにとって、教室の外で クラスメートとの親睦を深める良いきっかけとなる。

2. TO SUPPORT THE SCHOOL 学校を支えていくこと
Parents help by organizing events engaging the larger Hiroshima community with goals such as fundraising and soft PR. PTA donations help enhance the learning environment the school provides for our kids. We also support and encourage our teachers and staff in providing the highest quality of education for our children.
保護者は、資金集めや学校の簡単なPRなどの目標を持ち、広島のコミュニティーと広くつながりを持つような行 事を計画するなどの手伝いをする。PTAの寄付は、学校が子供に提供する学習環境の質をさらに高めるための手助 けとなる。そして、子供に最高の質の教育が提供されるよう、教師・学校スタッフを支援していく。
3. TO SUPPORT EACH OTHER
お互いに助け合うこと
PTA coffee mornings and meetings provide a setting for parents to share experiences and information, and help newcomers settle into life at HIS and in Hiroshima.
PTAによるコーヒーモーニングやミーティングなど、お互いの経験や情報を共有できる場を提供する。そして、新 入生(転入生)及びその家族が、HISや広島での新生活に早く慣れることができるよう、手助けをする。

Executive Committee
執行部役員会The Executive Committee of HIS PTA will have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 7 members, as representative as possible of the school population.
HIS PTAの執行部は、最低5人、最高7人のメンバーによって構成され、可能な限り学校のPTAの代表的な役目を担 う。

HIS PTA Executive Committee Proposed Plan for 2013-14
2013-2014年度 HIS PTA 執行部 企画 (案) Including those with the specific process roles stated above, all Executive Committee members will be equally responsible and accountable for all decisions and proposals of the Committee.
決まった役割を持つ役員を含め、執行部役員は全員、役員会におけるすべての決定事項、提案事項に関して、 同等の責任を共有し、説明できるものとする。
The Executive Committee will be responsible for leading and coordinating PTA business and activities throughout the year.
一年を通じ、PTA関連の仕事・行事等を運営・調整していくことが、執行部役員の役割である。

Any member of the PTA general population may make a proposal to the Executive Committee at any time: the committee will handle the proposal using the process and rules outlined below.
PTAのすべてメンバーは、いつでも執行部役員に物事の提案をすることができる。執行部役員会は、提案さ れた事項に対して、下部に示されている手順・規定に従って対応する。
All events and activities will be given due consideration (according to the decision making process below), providing sufficient volunteers can be found to run them.
行事・アクティビティーはすべて(下記の決議を行うための手順に従い)、十分に検討され、必要なボランテ ィアの人数を確保の上、実行される。
Separate teams will be formed to lead and organise individual events and activities. Event activity organisers will have freedom to plan the event. Plans should be reported to the Executive Committee. Any major changes to the plan approved by the PTA should be reported to the Executive
Committee.
各イベント・アクティビティーは、その都度違うチームが編成され、計画・実行される。各アクティビティ ーのリーダーは、行事を自由に計画できるものとする。しかし、計画は執行部役員に報告されなければなら ない。また、計画にPTAの承認が必要なほどの大きな変更がある場合も、必ず役員に報告し、その手続きを 踏む。
Event organisers will consult with the Executive Committee on budget, according to the rules stated below.
イベントのリーダーは、イベントに必要な予算に関して、下記の規定に従い、役員と協議をする。
PRINCIPLES OF OPERATIONS
運営方針 All members of the Executive Committee and the School Principal will be consulted about any proposal or decision thecommittee makes before
informing the general PTA population.
新しい提案や決定事項がある場合は、PTA全体に伝えられる前に、役員全員及び、校長に伝えられ、みなで 協議されるものとする。
The Executive committee may make day to day business and logistical decisions, and may authorise use of PTA funds up to the value of ¥10,000 without further consultation.
執行部役員は、細かい事項の決定権を持ち、PTA予算から10,000万円を上限として承認を得ずに使うことが できる。
The Executive Committee must consult the general population on any proposal whose outcome may affect the whole community, or on expenditures of between ¥10,001 and ¥50,000. Decisions must be
confirmed by a vote at a PTA meeting held with sufficient advance notice to enable people to attend or register their opinions in advance.
執行部役員は、自分たちの決定事項がコミュニティー全体に影響すると考えられる場合、または、10,001円 以上50,000円以下の支出に関しては、多くの人と協議する必要がある。その決定は、PTAミーティングによ る投票にて確定されるべきであり、そのミーティングの開催に関しては、人々が参加しやすいよう、または、 参加できない人が前もって自分の意見を役員に伝えることができるよう、時間的に余裕を持って通知すべき とする。
The Executive Committee must consult the general PTA population on any proposal which would result in major policy change, or on use of PTA funds in excess off ¥50,000. In these cases, an electronic vote by the whole PTA community will be organised.
執行部役員は、主要な方針を変えるような提案がなされた場合、または、PTA予算から50.000円を超える支 出がある場合は、必ずPTA総会にて協議にかけなければならない。これらの場合、全PTAコミュニティーに よる、Eメールによる投票が実行される。
Decisions reached by the process outlined above will be final, as long as the Executive Committee and the Principal of HIS agree that all community members had reasonable opportunity to raise objections by the time the decision was reached.
執行部役員とHISの校長は、可能な限り、全コミュニティーメンバーが決論に至るまでの間に反対意見を表 明するための十分な機会が与えられるようにする。その上で、上記の過程を経て至った決定事項は最終決定 とする。
In the event that these procedures cannot be carried out, for whatever reason, the Executive Committee will account for any emergency actions taken to the general PTA population at the earliest opportunity.
時間などの都合により、これらの手順が踏めなかった場合は、執行部役員は緊急決定権を持つ。しかし、後 日、PTAメンバーに十分な説明をする義務がある。
