Uses of Does
Does is a helping verb that is in the present and singular form. Since it is a helping verb (auxiliary verb), it is attached to another verb.（Does は現在単数形で使われる助動詞です。
この場合のDoes は助動詞であるので単独ではなく他の動詞と一緒に使われます。）
Example: The choir does sound good.（聖歌隊の歌は聞いていて心地よいです。） helping verb main verb

Does can also be used by itself to express that someone or something is performing an
action.（Does を単独で用いる事により人/物がある動作を行っているという事を表現するこ
ともできます。）
Example: She does the laundry every day.（彼女は毎日洗濯をします。） action verb direct object

Does agrees in number with its subject. It can only be used with singular subjects.（Does
は主語が単数の場合にのみ使うことができます（主語が複数の時は使うことができません））
Example: He does enjoy opera.（彼はオペラを楽しみます。） The opera singer does not want to be disturbed.
(オペラ歌手は場の雰囲気を乱されたくないと思っています。) When the main verb is attached to does, it retains its base form.
(主動詞が does の後につく場合、その主動詞は原形になります。)
Example: She does sing other kinds of music.（彼女は他の種類の歌も歌います。）
