Abstract㸸

 Evaluation of research in the humanities and social sciences field has recently become popular in conjunction with the discussion of its significance and method. Last year, we focused on humanities and social sciences research in UK university evaluation Research Excellence Framework (REF), especially impact assessment in humanities field. For example, we targeted Shakespeare's research in the University of Birmingham. As a result, we extracted a number of factors of impact evaluation, such as quantitative analysis on the number of Web accesses and qualitative information such as external evaluation comments. In this paper, we will expand our view from the following two points. First, we expand the subject of analysis from humanities to social sciences, covering several fields (UoA) such as economics, law, history and so on. Secondly, we pay attention not only to the impact but also to the output. Through these, we analyze characteristics of researches in humanities and social science research evaluation.
