本研究は、未利用バイオマス資源としての竹や産業廃棄物としての余剰汚泥を活用し、竹炭や汚 泥溶融スラグを賦活化したセシウム吸着剤を開発したものである。また、セシウム水溶液からの除 去能を評価し、その吸着メカニズムを明らかにしたものであり、水質変換工学および水環境工学上、

賦活化竹炭および賦活化汚泥溶融スラグによるセシウム除去について重要な知見を得たものとして 価値ある業績であると認める。
