国際的な文化プログラムの展開
Development of internat ional cultural programs
国際的な舞台芸術祭として、2009年以降毎年開催されている「フェス
ティバル/トーキョー（F/T）」をはじめ、アートオリンピア、東京芸術祭、
東京アニメアワードフェスティバル（TAAF）や東京国際映画祭に併設さ
れるマルチコンテンツマーケット（TIFFCOM）など、近年、国際的なアー
トイベントが次々と豊島区に集結してきています。こうした流れをさらに
拡大していくとともに、2020年「文化の祭典」の幕開けを先導していく役
割を担うべく、「東アジア文化都市」の開催都市に都内で初めて立候補し
ました。
東アジア文化都市
日中韓の3か国から、文化芸術による発展をめざす都市を毎年1都市選
定し、年間を通して多様な文化芸術イベントを開催し、3か国の文化交流
を図る国家的プロジェクトです。
舞台芸術やマンガ・アニメ等の国際的なプログラムに加え、「H
ハ レ ザareza池
袋」に2019年秋オープン予定の新ホールや池袋駅周辺の4つの公園を活
用し、豊島区の特色を活かした多彩な文化を世界に発信していきます。

There has been a growing concentration of international arts events in Toshima City in recent years, including Festival/ Tokyo (F/T) held every year since 2009 as an international festival of performing arts, Art Olympia, the Tokyo Metropolitan Festival, the Tokyo Anime Award Festival (TAAF), as well as TIFFCOM, a multi-content marketplace that is held alongside with the Tokyo International Film Festival. With the aims of further expanding this trend and taking on a leadership role in opening the curtains to the 2020 Cultural Olympiad, Toshima City was also the i rst city in Tokyo to be selected as a candidate to be the host city for the “Culture City of East Asia” initiative.
Culture City of East Asia
This is a national project that seeks to facilitate cultural exchange among three countries through the convention of diverse arts and cultural events throughout the year, at a city that aims to grow through arts and culture which is selected every year from Japan, China, and Korea respectively. In addition to international programs such as performing arts, manga, and anime, the new hall that is scheduled to be opened in the fall of 2019 at Hareza Ikuebukuro, as well as the four parks around Ikebukuro Station, will be utilized to transmit the diverse cultures that harness the characteristics of Toshima City to the world.

2020年、さらにその先の文化レガシーをめざし、多彩な東京
の文化・魅力を世界に伝える総合芸術祭。2016年に舞台芸術
フェスティバルとして初開催。
This multidisciplinary arts festival brings the colorful culture and appeal of Tokyo to the world, ushering in 2020 and aiming to preserve the cultural legacy even beyond 2020. It was i rst held as a performing arts festival in 2016.

世界中の才能ある若手アーティストを発掘し、その活動を支援
することを目的とするアートの国際公募展。区庁舎を会場に、
公開審査、受賞作品展を2015年から隔年開催。
This international art exhibition accepts submissions from around the world, with the aim of discovering talented young artists worldwide and providing support for their activities. Held at the City Office, the open review and exhibition of winning works have been held every other year since 2015.
東京アニメアワードフェスティバル

『東京がアニメーションのハブになる』を合言葉に、新たな人材
の発掘・育成、アニメーション文化と産業の振興を目的に開催
される国際アニメーション映画祭。
東京国際映画祭に併設される映画、TV、アニメーション等のマ
ルチコンテンツマーケット。世界中から多くのバイヤーやプロ
デューサーが参加。
With the slogan “TOKYO is the HUB of contemporary ANIMATION!” this international animation i lm festival aims to discover and nurture new talents, as well as revitalize anime culture and the industry.
This multi-content marketplace for film, TV, animation, and other types of contents, is held in conjunction with the Tokyo International Film Festival. It attracts many buyers and producers from around the world.

This is the largest international festival of performing arts in Japan, which attracts artists active on the frontlines of the performing arts in Asia, Europe, and other parts of the world. A colorful range of works that transcend national boundaries, age, and genre are performed at this festival.
