(2) An Analysis of the influence to a group home by the installation of mimamori-care support camera system : From the viewpoint of the socialization between the caregiver and the care receiver Wenhao Zheng School of Knowledge Science, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology March 2012 Keywords: aging problems, dementia care, group home, mimamori-care support camera system, the socialization, caregiver, care receiver Aging problem has become a major social issues in Japan today. The Total population is 127.51 million people, with the total number of people whose ages are 65 or older at 29,020,000. and by 2055, the percentage of the elderly will reach 40.5%, with 1 in 2.5 people being 65 years old and over. With the increase of the aged population, we except the Dementia patients to be increased too. Although there are still many unknown about dementia, the directly linked to the age is no doubt. According to the related report, the risk of getting dementia for the elderly who are older than 65 is 3 % ~7%, and this number increases to 20 % for people who are over 80 years old. In order to care more Dementia patients, the special nursing home for aged people become more and more in the world. In Japan the number of the nursing home for aged was 266 in 2000, but increased rapidly ,there was 9026 in 2007 ,and still on the increase now. 2. The group home is not a place only care on the physiology of Dementia aged people , by living together and respecting everyone as a people, the group home have been proved effective for certain dementia disease. and the communication and the recreation ,namely the socialization between the caregiver and the dementia aged people plays an important role that has been considered as one of the main reasons. But with The problems of insufficient manpower becoming more and more serious in the group home, and it has become an inevitable problem that the caregiver do not have time for an adequate communication with the care receiver..
(3) In order to solve the problems of the lacks of manpower, there are more and more research on how to support the working of the caregiver in the group homes, and a lot of achievements emerge in large numbers in recent years, mimamori-care support camera system is one of them which formed by pc, wireless camera and wireless monitor. For using it the caregivers can grasp the situations of blind spots in the group home without moving. and this system is proved that plays a positive role on improving the efficiency and quality of the care working, and the caregivers can get more time to spare and it also works at relieving pressure. This research is to realize the influence on the socialization between the caregiver and care receiver with the installation of this system, and through the comparison of the situation before and after the installation in the group home, the conclusion is that the system through the influences on the caregivers`working practices, and leads to the change of the socialization between the caregiver and the care receiver in the group home from the aspect of time and space..
