Review N Nu P Compound
Breathtaking garden... \s This botanic garden on Awaji Island exceeded our expectations by miles. We couldn’t really recognise most of the flowers but by simply being surrounded by them in this wonderful garden perched beautifully on a hilltop overlooking the sea it was a short trip well worth taking. We loved it!!0 0.636 0.364 0.9777
Beautiful and relaxing park lots of photo opportunities. \s Awaji Hanasajiki park is one of my favorite weekend relax places in the area. The flowers are being changed almost every month pending the season. You can just relax on the grass slopws enjoy the colored flower carpets have an ice cream and let the kids run around. The park is accesible by car (i suppose there is also public transportation option since it's Japan). Another option is to cycle to the park (can cross to Awaji island with bicycles on the Akashi ferry). Not that easy ride since you need to climb from sea level but very enjoyable.0.015 0.837 0.148 0.9207 Very beautiful place \s The place I enjoyed most in northern Awaji! Driving is highly recommended. My group tried to cycle there but the slopey terrain and quality of the rental bikes will make your journey a really horrible one. Ended up turning back and taking a cab there which was another mistake since a round journey of the cab fare was roughly the cost of a day's rental for a small car. Do go when the flowers are in full bloom and enjoy the scenery in the park. Oh do note that they really stick closely to their opening hours.0.078 0.819 0.103 0.152
Breathtaking views \s This is the kind of place that you can only get to with a car. But the climb to the hill top is worth it once you settle down and start walking to the flower fields. The rapeseed flowers in yellow are particularly beautiful.0 0.786 0.214 0.8718
Breathtaking and picturesque! \s I totally love this park. The weather was still nice and cooling when we went there and i wished I could just sit there all day and take in the beautiful view. It would be nice to just sit on the grass lay a mat and have a picnic!Pictures don't do the attraction justice. One has to be there personally to experience at least once!0.031 0.702 0.267 0.9627 Beware of eagle at the parking lot \s Stop on the way to Awaji from KIX. Many choice of food and nice view for dining. Fee hot green tea & water. Great view for the bridge but beware of eagle at the parking lot. Wife's ice cream cone got grabbed by an eagle with 5 second she exit from the complex. Quite scary.0.073 0.859 0.068 -0.3159
Great View - three complex highway parking / rest stop \s If you are coming from the mainland the first stop / rest area is the Upper Rest area connected to it on the other side of the highway is the Lower Rest area and in the center there is a large ornate 'European Desert Oasis' feel building which is the main Awaji Highway Oasis. The Upper Rest area has the view. Fantastic panorama of the mainland and the bridge. Starbucks Coffee is a notable vendor and has patio decks observation walk and long distance telescopes for your viewing pleasure. There is also a ferries wheel located here. The Lower Rest area has an local art "gallery" or wall. A lover's lane but nothing spectacular. Both rest areas have hum drum nothing special / corporate food offerings. As for the Oasis it is gift stores on the first floor and the second floor has restaurants. A nice atrium area to rest and enjoy a coffee or ice cream. On a day with good weather it is a good place to enjoy the view and kill a hour or two.0.071 0.774 0.155 0.9572 I love Awaji ! \s Awaji Island is such a beautiful IslandI really want recommend that you go and visit. You can drive or take a bus from Kobe(about 60min) or Osaka(about 90min)It is a very relaxed atmospherethe people are nice and they have many tasty foods.Stop by here to take a rest and eat some dishes at the restaurants or buy souveniers.Awaji Island is very famous for onion.I had onion salad dressing and soup there. They were very tasty. You can see Tokushima Island from Awaji Island via a cross overas well as other scenic views that are afforded from the channel.0 0.801 0.199 0.9646
Not 1 but 5 caves \s We drove to this attraction found free parking at the visitor center/gift shop And went in the park for Free. These are not caves that one can go in but observe the cave face from a safe distance. Very cool rock formations its a shame that these used to be used as a quarry so that gardeners could have hexagonal pavers.0.053 0.683 0.264 0.9568 Enjoy free little wild place \s Accessibility is badtake a taxi in front of Kinosaki-Onsen station. Route bus and trains are not frequent.0 0.735 0.265 0.7579
The stone formation is just phenomenal. \s What a lovely place to go to. Whilst the caves are man made or specifically of what's left over after the locals removed large quantity of stones for river banks and home foundations the natural stone formation that has been created by the volcanos are quite spectacular. We stayed in Kinosaki for a few days and hired bikes to cycle over it's about 30 minutes on a bike. It's best to get the map from the cycle hire place and not the Tourist Information centre. The route is pretty straight forward and has a very beautiful views of the river and hills. By the par there is a shop cafe lavatories and information about the caves in quite a few different languages. We spent about an hour in the park!It really is beautiful and peaceful place.0 0.81 0.19 0.9826
Small geological marvel to find the violent volcanic activities of the past in a peaceful countryside \s “Genbugan” rock is the Japanese name for basalt which is ratger common rock worldwide and which is formed from ancient volcanic activities. However some formations show distinctive structural characteristics. Perhaps the best known example of such distinctive basalt formation is Giant Causeway in Northern Ireland or Tojinbo in Fukui Prefecture Japan. This park features a similar rock formation with a unique twist. While the above two sites feature straight column formation the park’s columns are twisted and turned by later geological forces. The end-result is a distinctive visual wonder of complex shapes and patterns of basalt. The park is accessible by JR San-in Line and it is a worthy additional destination for those who come to enjoy Kinosaki hot-spring town or those visitors to San’in Kaigan Geopark Area that stretches along the Japan Sea coast of Kyoto Hyogo and Tottori prefectures. The entrance 0.013 0.896 0.091 0.9072 A short walk from Kinosaki \s Only four kilometres away - around one hour - from Kinosaki it's just a a walk away and you'll enjoy beautiful caves with hexagon-shaped columns. A quite nice ways to do some light sports and visit the home of 'Gen San'.0 0.779 0.221 0.8805
Interesting but only a brief visit required \s The rock formations at the mouths of the caves are really fascinating and well worth photographing. However we had the impression you could enter caves and walk through them but that was not the case. I know one was being renovated while we were there so perhaps that's the reason. So if this is "on the way" to somewhere else then by all means visit. But since we only spent about half an hour there I would not recommend going out of your way to see it.0.026 0.828 0.146 0.9026 Fantastic natural stopover on the way to the beach or Kinosaki. \s We stopped in at Genbudo caves on our way to Kinosaki and Takeno beach. The rock formations are really interesting and if you walk away from the main caves it's peaceful. The volunteer guides are great will take a picture and give you English pamphlets. All this for free. And our kids really enjoyed it.0.023 0.69 0.287 0.9697
