Tl}e necessity to suppert studying Japanese in the future with teaching materials

In this paper, what is deraanded of future teaching materials is described from the staRdpoiRt of makiRg teaching materials. The problems in existing teachiRg materials are clarified by using the techRique in analyzing teacking materials thatthe authors have designed. This paper proposes the following two points to teaching material writers: to support the teacher and the leamer in their studies, design the structure of the teaching rnaterial and exercises by considering how teaching can be effective; and to offer a metkod for evaluating learRing together with the teaching material. ln addition, this paper proposes specific methods to adopt IRstructional Desiglt, a systematic method of designing and developing teacking materials, into the procedure of creating Japanese teaching materials.
