Pluripotent stem cells (PSCs), such as embryonic stem cells (ESCs) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), have potential to differentiate to the all organs. In general, radio-sensitivity is high in “cells have a greater reproductive activity”, “their karyokinetic fate is longer”, “their morphology and function are at least definitively fixed” as the low of Bergonié and Tribondeau. This rule applies very well to PSCs which have high radio-sensitivity and apoptosis activity, although DNA repair activity is also high. Mammalian organs separate two types, cell regeneration system (hematopoiesis, germline, epithelial, the crystalline lens) and cell non regeneration system (muscle, neural system). As similar with PSCs, organs of cell regeneration system are high radio-sensitivity compared with organs of cell non regenerative system. In this article, we discuss about relationships of differentiation dependent radio-sensitivity using our recent analysis with human iPSCs and derived neural stem cells and keratinocyte stem cells.
