Characteristics and mutual relationship between drainage densities on the different measurements Nobuyuki TANAKA and Tsuyoshi UDA

Abstract We obtained 6 drainage densities by the different methods of measurement. Every method of drainage density is calculated from 50m-DEM(Digital Elevation Model) on each 3rd –meshes of the Maya mountain range that locates at the border between Niigata- and Yamagata-prefectures. We obtained the result judging from the planar distribution and the mutual correlation of 6 kind of drainage density; the stream frequency (D2), the stream density (D3), and the bifurcation frequency (D4) are the drainage density sensu stricto, the valley-head frequency (D1) represents the proceeding of erosional front, D6 (D3/D4) means the degree of stream integration, and, while, the number of node where the stream across the mesh frame (D5) is not useful value because it cannot evaluate the streams which locate only inside the mesh.
