PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS

HAZARDS TO HUMANS & DOMESTIC ANIMALS

CAUTION:Harmful if absorbed through skin. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Prolonged or frequently repeated skin contact may cause allergic reactions in some individuals.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):Handlers must wear the following: long-sleeve shirt, long pants, shoes and socks, and chemical resistant gloves such as barrier lami- nate, nitrile or neoprene rubber, or viton (selection

category E).

User Safety Requirements:Follow manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning/maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables exist, use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from other laundry.

Discard clothing and other absorbent materials that have been drenched or heavily contaminated with this product.

DO NOT reuse them.

PHYSICAL OR CHEMICAL HAZARDS

Contents under pressure. DO NOTuse or store near heat or open flame. DO NOTpuncture or incinerate container.

Exposure to temperatures above 130°F may cause burst- ing. DO NOTallow spray to contact plastic, painted or varnished surfaces.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

IT IS A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW TO USE THIS PRODUCT IN A MANNER INCONSISTENT WITH ITS LABELING.

USE RESTRICTIONS

• Not for use in Residential areas.

• DO NOTuse in nurseries or rooms where infants, ill or aged persons are present.

• DO NOTplace metering device directly over or within 8 ft of exposed food, dishes, utensils, food processing equipment and food handling or preparation.

• DO NOTinstall within 3 ft of air vents.

• Carefully follow directions for the dispenser unit when installing the dispenser and replacing cans or conducting maintenance.

• The maximum application rate for metered release devices is 0.00046 lb pyrethrin/1,000 ft³.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

This product is designed specifically for use in auto- matic metered dispensers.

One dispenser per 6,000 ft³is considered an average need, with adjustments made on specific conditions at place of use. The dispenser activates the metered valve once every 15 min. The effectiveness of this product will be noticeable within 1 hr after the dispenser is activated.

Recommended use is for 24 hr control; but if < 24 hr control is desired, set the dispenser to start 1 hr before control is desired and run 1 hr after control is no longer needed.

Factors such as airflow rate, size of space treated, humidity and room temperature affect insect activity and control. As with any method of insect control, best results are

achieved when sanitation and other positive insect preven- tion practices are followed. It is suggested that the

container be changed once a month (when operated on a 24 hr basis).

USER SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS

User should:

• Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet.

• Remove clothing/PPE immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing.

• Remove PPE immediately after handling this product.

Wash the outside of gloves before removing. As soon as possible, wash thoroughly and change into clean clothing.

If on skin or clothing

• Take off contaminated clothing.

• Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15 to 20 min.

• Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.

NOTE TO PHYSICIAN:Contains petroleum distillate. Vomiting may cause aspiration pneumonia.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

PESTICIDE DISPOSAL:Wastes resulting from use of this product may be disposed of on site or at an approved waste disposal facility.

Follow the Directions for Use. It is impossible to eliminate all risks inherently associated with use of this product, and therefore all such risk shall be assumed by the Buyer. BASF warrants that this product conforms to the chemical description on the label and is reasonably fit for the purposes referred to in the Directions for Use, subject to the inherent risks, referred to above. TO THE EXTENT CONSISTENT WITH APPLICABLE LAW: (A) BASF MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR MERCHANTABILITY, (B) BUYER’S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY AND BASF’S AND SELLER’S EXCLUSIVE LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT,

NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, SHALL BE LIMITED TO REPAYMENT OF THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT, AND (C) BASF AND THE SELLER DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE USE OR HANDLING OF THIS PRODUCT.
