三井造船マシナリー・サービス株式会社（MZM）は、「社会に人に信頼 されるものづくり企業であり続ける」ことを企業理念としている三井造船 グループの中核を担う機械製造会社です。創業以来、半世紀以上の歴史を 通じて蓄積された経験やノウハウを駆使して、さらに最先端の技術を融合 させることにより、社会、インフラ、主要産業分野の基幹部分を構成する さまざまな製品を提供しています。 MZMは、1999年に三井ドイツ・ディーゼル・エンジン株式会社と三井 造船アイムコ株式会社が合併し、さらに2001年に株式会社鷹取製作所が 加わってできた会社です。この3社は、もともと三井造船の幅広い製品 戦略の一翼として、それぞれが専門的な分野を担うべく設立されました。 なかでも三井ドイツ・ディーゼル・エンジンは、三井造船とドイツ有数の ディーゼルエンジンメーカーであるドイツ社との合弁会社として、1963年 に東京で建設機械用、産業用、舶用などのディ−ゼルエンジン製作を開始、 数多くの製品を国内外のお客様にお届けしてまいりました。その後1995年 からはドイツ社からの輸入エンジンの販売事業と、同エンジンをベースと する発電装置などへのパッケージング事業に重点を移し、1999年に三井 造船の完全子会社となりました。その事業は現在の東京事業所に引き継が れています。 また、鷹取製作所は三井造船の完全子会社として1957年に神戸で設立 され、舶用機器、産業用機器、漁撈装置などの分野でその地位を確立した 会社です。その事業は、現在の大阪事業所に引き継がれています。 MZMは、このような歴史のなかで培われた技術と人材をもって新分野、 新技術に果敢に挑戦いたします。高度化する市場のニーズに対応した “ものづくり”にこだわりつつ、“お客様の満足度向上”をモットーとして、 社会システムの安心・安全、環境の保全、社会の発展に貢献していきたい と考えています。
Mitsui Zosen Machinery & Service, Inc. (MZM) is a core manufacturing company within the corporate group of Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (MES), whose motto is "To be a company trusted by society and people through its products and services". MZM has a history extending back over fifty years, and based on its accumulated experience and know-how, it manufactures a wide range of equipment and products that are essential elements of the infrastructure and industrial plants.
MZM was founded through the merger of three MES subsidiaries, which were all established to implement specialist roles within the wide-ranging product strategy of MES. Initially Mitsui DEUTZ Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. and Mitsui Zosen EIMCO, Inc. merged in 1999, and later Takatori Manufacturing Co., Ltd. joined them in 2001.
Mitsui DEUTZ Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. was established in 1963 as a Japanese-German joint enterprise in Tokyo for the manufacture of diesel engines for use in construction machinery, industrial machinery and marine applications.
In 1995, utilizing its advanced skills and sales network, MZM shifted the main thrust of its business operations from the manufacture of diesel engines to the sale of diesel engines imported from DEUTZ AG and the production of complete packages using these engines combined with related equipment for power generation and pump drive applications. Currently, Tokyo Works undertakes these operations.
Takatori Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established in 1957 at Kobe as a 100% subsidiary of MES for the manufacture of marine and industrial equipment as well as fishing equipment. Currently, these operations are undertaken by Osaka Works.
MZM is contributing to the advance of society in terms of security, environmental preservation and development by manufacturing excellent products that meet the needs of the times.

The engines are externally sourced from DEUTZ AG (Germany), and other leading engine manufacturers.

MZM manufactures the "MDG Series" (30kVA~1000kVA) gen-sets, and it is a leading supplier in Japan of on-board emergency generators and harbor generators.
MZM's air-cooled engine sets are easy to operate and maintain and are used nationwide in Japan to drive pumps for irrigation or flood control. MZM's packaged fire pump sets with air-cooled engines are also installed at cultural assets such as famous temples and shrines in Japan to prevent them from being damaged or destroyed by fire.

MES succeeded in putting the Zeolite Membrane, which can dehydrate and refine water contained solvent, into practical use in mid 1990s, and the first commercial unit of Zeolite membrane module was completed in 1998. Afterwards, this technology has been applied to cleaning process of organic solvents (IPA, acetone, ester, NMP, etc.) which are used in precision machinery, electronics industries, etc., and to dehydration process of ethanol in food, chemical and/or pharmaceutical industries. Now, it is highlighted in the bio-ethanol production process because it can very efficiently make absolute ethanol as carbon-neutral fuel for the global environmental protection. In 2011, this technology was transferred by MES to MZM, who is now operating all the related business including design, manufacture and sales as well as after-sales services.
Automation of manufacturing processes is a key technology for labor and energy saving and increases market competitiveness.
MZM is constantly engaged in the development of highly sophisticated factory automation systems, which are supplied to customers in various industries as well-engineered production systems.

MZMは、世界の主要巻網船に広く採用されている米巾式巻網船 漁撈機械を1960年代半ばに開発したマルコ社と1979年に技術 提携契約を結びました。以来、年とともに大型化、近代化する巻網 漁のニーズに応え、日本をはじめ、アジア地域にマルコブランドの 製品を提供してきました。1980年には、大阪工場に加えて焼津に サービス拠点を設置。全国各地の漁港に技術スタッフを派遣し、 お客様の要求に的確にお応えするサービス体制を整えました。 優れたメンテナンスサービスが、高い評価をいただいています。
In 1979, MZM started the production of hydraulic deck machinery systems for tuna purse seiners under a license agreement with MARCO, whose machinery and system design became the standard of the tuna fishery sector in the mid-60s. Since then, MZM has been supplying new machinery systems developed and/or improved by MARCO to meet the requirements of larger and modernized fishery operations. Today, many tuna purse seiners in Japan and Asian countries are equipped with MZM deck machinery systems.
Excellent maintenance services are also provided by MZM at its Yaizu Service Center and Osaka Factory

MZM’s servicing activities cover not only the diesel engines, gen-sets and pump sets it supplies, but as a business partner of DEUTZ in Japan, it also services DEUTZ engines in the mobile machinery of third-party users. Its nation-wide network of service stations is well-stocked with spare parts and has well-trained service staff able to meet a wide range of customer needs. In the area of industrial machinery including fishing machinery, MZM provides not only routine maintenance but also engineering services including energy-saving, working life-prolongation and renovation and replacement measures.
