Intro/Review: This morning we will be starting Revelation chapter 13.

1. What is the book of Revelation all about?
黙示録とはいったい何のことでしょう？
a. It’s a prophecy that that largely deals with events that have yet to happen.
それは、大部分はまだ起きていない出来事について取り扱っている預言です。
b. Let’s jump back to the end of the First Century for just a moment.
少しだけ 1 世紀の終わりに戻ってみましょう。
c. The Christian church is established but is being severely persecuted by Roman Emperor Domitian.
クリスチャン教会は設立されましたが、ローマ皇帝ドミティアヌスによって激しく迫害されていま した。
1) The Apostle John has been exiled to the remote and isolated island of Patmos.
弟子のヨハネは離島のパトモス島に追放されました。
2) It is while he is there that the Lord comes to him and gives him this special revelation.
ヨハネがそこにいる間に、主がヨハネに現れこの特別な啓示を与えました。
d. The revelation is ultimately of Jesus Christ.
啓示は、最終的にはイエス・キリストについてです。
1) The details contained within the revelation tell us how sin will be Judged in the last days and what will happen before Jesus Comes Back.
啓示に含まれている詳細は、罪が最後の日々にどのように裁かれるのかと言うことと、イエス 様の再臨の前に起こる出来事を私たちに教えます。
2) The two main points are that 1) all sin will be judge and 2) that Jesus is Coming Back!
2 つの主なポイントは、1:すべての罪は裁かれる、2: イエス様が戻って来られる、と言うこと です。
2. The Book can be summarized in this way:

a. Chapter 1 is an introduction.
1 章は導入です。
b. Chapters 2-3 address 7 specific churches in John’s day, but are also messages for us today as each address is opened up to the church at large to which we belong.
2~3 章はヨハネの時代に 7 つの特定の教会について書いています。しかし、それぞれの教会につい て書かれたことが、私たちが今属している教会にあてはまるので、それらは現代の私たちに対する メッセージでもあります。
c. Chapters 4-5 begin the future events of the end times.

1) It is at the beginning of chapter four that we believe that the Rapture of the Church occurs.
教会が天国に引き上げられる空中携挙が起こると私たちは信じているのは、4 章の初めです。
d. Chapters 6-19 are the events described as the Great Tribulation.
6～19 章は、大患難時代と記述される出来事についてです。
1) When these events actually do occur, the church will be watching from heaven above.
これらの出来事が実際に起こるとき、教会(目に見えない)は天からこれらを見ることになりま す。
e. Chapter 20 briefly describes Christ’s millennial reign here on earth and the final judgment that will follow it.
20 章は地上でのキリストの千年王国とその後に続く最後の裁きを簡潔に記述しています。
f. And in Chapters 21-22 all things are made new with a new heaven and earth being created with God’s people living with Him for all of eternity.
21~22 章では、全てのものが新しくされて新しい天と地が創造され、神の民が神様と共に永遠に生 きます。
Let’s look at today’s passage: Read Revelation 13:1-10 (NKJV)1and Pray
今日の箇所；黙示録 13 章 1 節～10 節を読んでお祈りをしましょう。
1. During the Tribulation period, Satan will unveil his masterpiece: The Antichrist.
患難時代の間、サタンは彼の最高傑作を明らかにします：それが反キリストです。
a. Daniel 7, 8, 9, 11, and 2 Thessalonians 4 describe this man.
ダニエル書 7,8,9,11 章と第二テサロニケ 4 章はこの反キリストを述べています。

b. Many have asked: Who is the Antichrist?

1) Nero, the Pope, Stalin, Hilter, JFK, Saddam Hussein, Pres Obama, Oprah Winfrey?

2) I’d suggest that it doesn’t matter.

3) Antichrist will come, but I’m looking for the Blessed Hope.
反キリストは来ますが、私は祝福された望みを待ち望みます。
4) Titus 2:13 says we are to be… looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

2. Concerning the title Antichrist, the prefix Anti- means against, opposed.
Antichrist と言う称号についてですが、Anti という接頭語は反対する、反対という意味です。
a. Antichrist means “against Christ” or “in place of Christ”
反キリストの意味は、「キリストに反対する」または「キリストの代わり」という意味です。
b. In 1 John 2:18 it says, Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.
第一ヨハネ 2:18 ではこのように言っています、「子供たちよ、終わりの時が来ています。反キリス トが来ると、あなたがたがかねて聞いていたとおり、今や多くの反キリストが現れています。これ によって、終わりの時が来ていると分かります。」
1) There are many who oppose Christ that are an antichrist of sorts.
キリストに反対する、反キリストのような多くの人がいます。
2) But there will be one Antichrist that leads and rules them all.
しかし、彼ら全てを導き支配する一人の反キリストがいます。
c. What’s the difference between Christ and the Antichrist of the end times?
終わりの時のキリストと反キリストにはどんな違いがあるでしょうか？ Jesus Christイエス・キリスト The Antichrist反キリスト
2. Came in His Father’s name

Revelation 13:1 1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast
rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.
黙示録 13:1 また私は見た。海から一匹の獣が上って来た。これには十本の角と七つの頭とがあった。その
角には十の冠があり、その頭には神をけがす名があった。
1. What is the sea? I believe it has a dual meaning.
海とは何でしょう？二重の意味があると私は思います。
a. Principally, I believe it represents Humanity.
主に、人間を表していると思います。
1) Isaiah 17:12 Woe to the multitude of many people Who make a noise like the roar of the seas, And to the rushing of nations That make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!
イザヤ 17:12「ああ。多くの国々の民がざわめき、――海のとどろきのように、ざわめいてい る。ああ、国民の騒ぎ、――大水の騒ぐように、騒いでいる。」
2) Rev 17:15 Revelation 17:15 Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.
黙示録 17:15 「御使いはまた私に言った。「あなたが見た水、すなわち淫婦がすわっている所 は、もろもろの民族、群衆、国民、国語です。
3) The sea in prophetic language represents people and rising out of this is a beast, a man.
預言的な言葉の海は人々を表し、海から獣、人が上がってきたと表しています。
a) This is not an influence, idea, or philosophy.
これは、影響、考えや哲学ではありません。
b) It’s a man who, in Revelation 19:20 will be thrown into the lake of fire.
黙示録 19:20 で火の池に投げ込まれるのは人です。
b. Secondly, the sea can also represent the general condition of the people who are on the earth going through the Tribulation period.
次に、海は患難時代を通る地上の人々の一般的な状態も表すことができます。
1) Isaiah 57:20–21 20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, When it cannot rest, Whose waters cast up mire and dirt. 21 “There is no peace,” Says my God, “for the wicked.”
イザヤ 57:20~21 :20 しかし悪者どもは、荒れ狂う海のようだ。静まることができず、水が海草 と泥を吐き出すからである。:21 「悪者どもには平安がない。」と私の神は仰せられる。
2) Like a sailor on troubled choppy storm driven seas, the people going through the Tribulation will lack peace.
波立つ嵐の海に吹き寄せられる船乗りのように、患難時代を通る人々には平安がありません。
3) No matter how hard they work, search, or spend, peace will be elusive.
彼らがどんなに一生懸命働いても、探しても、過ごしても平安は手に入りません。
a) Why, because there is no Prince of Peace on during that time.
なぜなら、その期間には平和の君がいないからです。
2. Out of the midst of chaos will arise a beast.
大混乱の中からは獣が出現します。
a. Interestingly, this seems to always be the case.
面白いことに、いつの場合もこのようです。
1) Dictatorships seem to arise out of political, economic and social disorder, chaos, and confusion.
独裁権力は政治的、経済的そして社会不安、混乱そして困惑から生まれます。
a) Napoleon rose up out of the bloody confusion of the French Revolution.
ナポレオンはフランス革命の血の混乱の中から出てきました。
b) Lenin and Stalin out of the Bolshevik revolution in Russia.
c) Mussolini who, during political chaos in Italy, organized all of Italy’s unemployed WWI veterans to help form the Fascist Party.
ムッソリーニは、イタリアの政治的混乱の間、ファシスタ党を結成するためにイタリアの 無職の第一次世界大戦の退役軍人を組織した人です。
Hitler who helped led Germany out of sever governmental and economic
weaknesses resulting from their defeat in WWI.
ヒットラーは、第一次世界大戦での敗北の結果起こった厳しい政治と経済的な弱さからド イツを助けて導いた人です。
b. The original Greek word for beast describes a wild and dangerous animal, even fiendish.
獣のギリシャ語の語源は、野生の危険な動物、さらに悪魔のような、だと記述しています。
1) I believe John uses this word and name to describe his character and activity.
獣の特徴と活動を表すために、この獣という言葉と名前を使ったのだと私は思います。
3. This beast had seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns.
この獣は 7 つの頭と 10 の角、そして角には 10 の冠があります。
a. The heads and horns are representative of dominions and power.
頭と角は支配力と権力を表します。
b. The horns represent power, the crowns represent dominions.
角は権力を表し、冠は支配力を表します。
1) This speaks of Antichrist’s government and the political alliance that will be forged in these last days under the direction of Antichrist.
これは反キリストの指導の下に、終わりの日に偽造される反キリストの政府と統治の政治的同 盟のことを言っています。
c. Back in Revelation 12:3 we saw the same description, with heads and ten horns and diadem or crowns.
黙示録 12:3 に戻ってみましょう。頭と 10 の角そして王冠または冠という同じ描写を私たちは見ま す。
1) But in Revelation 12:3 it is describing Satan.
しかし、黙示録 12:3 はサタンを描写しています。
2) Here the same characteristics are given to the beast which is the Antichrist and this is because the Antichrist is indwelt and empowered by Satan himself.
同じ特徴が反キリストである獣に与えられ、それは反キリストがサタン自身に内在しサタンか ら力を与えられているからです。
3) He is one with Satan.
4) The Antichrist is Satan personified. This is the closest thing to Satan in human form.
反キリストはサタンの化身です。人間の形の中でサタンに一番近いものです。
d. In John 14:9 Jesus said, “He who has seen Me has seen the Father.”
ヨハネ 14:9 ではイエス様はこう言われました。「わたしを見た者は、父を見たのです。」
If you want to see what God is like, look at Jesus…
もしあなたが、神様がどんな方か見たいのであれば、イエス様を見てください。
1) And if you want to see what Satan is like, look here at the beast, the Antichrist.
そしてもしあなたが、サタンがどんなものか見たいのであればこの獣、反キリストを見てくだ さい。
a) Like Jesus, the Antichrist can say, “Me and my father are one.”
イエス様のように、反キリストは「私と私の父は一つです。」と言うことができます。
But the key difference is that Jesus is speaking of God the Father…
重要な違いは、イエス様は父なる神様のことを言っています。
And the Antichrist is speaking of the Father of Lies & Deception, Satan.
そして反キリストは、嘘と騙しの父であるサタのことを言っています。
b) Everything that Satan is, the Antichrist represents.
サタンと反キリストが表す全てです。
4. It also says at the end of verse 1 and on his heads [there was] a blasphemous name.
1 節の終わりで「その頭には神をけがす名があった。」とも言っています。
a. These are names that blaspheme God and represent his rebellion from God.
これらは神を汚す名前で、神様からの反逆を表します。
Revelation 13:2 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet
were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon
gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.
黙示録 13:2 私の見たその獣は、ひょうに似ており、足は熊の足のようで、口はししの口のようであっ
た。竜はこの獣に、自分の力と位と大きな権威とを与えた。
1. This description is strikingly similar to the dream of vision that Daniel saw and recorded in Daniel 7.
この記述は、ダニエルが見てダニエル 7 章に記録されている幻の夢に著しく似ています。
a. Daniel saw four great beasts and they represented four distinct world kingdoms.
ダニエルは 4 頭の大きな獣を見て、その４頭は 4 つの異なる王国を表しました。 SLIDE
1) Daniel saw a beast like a lion; this represented the Babylonian Empire.
ダニエルはししのような獣を見ました；これはバビロニア帝国を表していました。
2) Next a beastly bear, which represented the Medo-Persian empire who followed.
次に獣のような熊は、バビロニア帝国に続いて出てきたメド・ペルシャ帝国を表しています。
3) Third a leopard, which is Alexander the Great and Greece.
三番面は豹、アレクサンドロス大王でギリシャです。
4) And the 4th beast was exceedingly dreadful with iron teeth representing Rome or the Roman Empire with the Antichrist as its leader.
そして 4 番目の獣は、鉄の牙を持つ非常に恐ろしく、リーダーとしての反キリストのいるロー マまたはローマ帝国を表しています。
b. Back in our passage in Revelation, the reason the beast here is described as with all of these attributes in one is that it Antichrist will have all the powers and attributes of these past rulers.
黙示録の今日の箇所に戻りましょう。ここで獣がこれらの全ての特徴を持った一人として述べられている理由 は、反キリストがこれらの過去の支配者たちの全ての権力と特徴を備えているからです。
1) He will be as swift as a leopard as he will rise to power and world dominance very quickly.
獣は素早く権力をもって世界支配に立ち上がるので、反キリストは豹のように素早いでしょう。
2) He will be as strong as a bear, no one in these end times will be able to stand up to him.
反キリスト(獣)は熊のように強くなり、この終わりの時に誰も彼に反抗できません。
3) He will be sovereign like the lion who is the king of the animal kingdom.
反キリストは動物王国の王である獅子のような主権者になります。
2. Make note that it says at the end of Revelation 13:2 The dragon [which is Satan] gave [the beast] his power, his throne, and great authority.
黙示録13:2 の終わりでこのように言っていることに注意してください、「竜はこの獣に、自分の力と
位と大きな権威とを与えた。」
a. The original Greek word for power is δύναμις (dynamis) from which we get our modern day word dynamite!
「力」のギリシャ語の語源は dynamis、現代の私たちの言葉でダイナマイトの語源の言葉です。
1) He will have explosive conquering power.
反キリストは爆発性の征服力を持ちます。
2) This will be unique to the Tribulation period.
b. Satan has power today as a fallen angel. But he does not have nor is he able to give explosive conquering power to any while the church is here on earth.
サタンは現在、堕落した御使い(悪霊)として力を持っています。しかし、教会がこの地上にある間 は、サタンは爆発性の征服力を持つことも誰かに与えることも出来ません。
1) Both the Church here on earth and God’s Holy Spirit are constraining forces.
地上の教会と神様の聖霊の両方が抑圧勢力です。
2) It will not be until after the Church is raptured that Satan and his Antichrist will have this type of power.
教会が携挙されるまでは、サタンと彼の反キリストはこの種の力を持ちません。
c. Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
使徒 1:8 しかし、聖霊があなたがたの上に臨まれるとき、あなたがたは力を受けます。そして、 エルサレム、ユダヤとサマリヤの全土、および地の果てにまで、わたしの証人となります。」
1) The word power in Acts 1:8 is δύναμις (dynamis) which means that presently, while Satan is limited, we have been empowered.
使徒 1:8 の中の「力」は dynamis,です。 現在サタンが制限されている間、私たちは力を与えら れているという意味です。
a) Empowered to do what?
何のために力が与えられているのですか？
b) The same thing, but working in a different direction.
サタンが持つ爆発性の力と同じことにですが、違う方向に働いています。
2) Satan is working to take people down to destruction, but we have been empowered for gospel ministry.
サタンは人々を破滅へと連れていくために働いていますが、私たちは福音の働きのために力を 与えられています。
a) Perhaps you are saying, “Well I just don’t feel that kind of power from God.”
あなたは、「神様からのそのような力は感じない。」というかもしれません。
b) Maybe, just maybe you are guilt of what Paul says not to do in 1 Thessalonians
5:19; Paul writes, Do not quench the Spirit.
恐らく、もしかしたらあなたはパウロが第一テサロニケ 5:19 でしないようにと言われた事 をいている罪があるかもしれません。パウロは「御霊を消してはなりません。」と書いて います。
c) Or maybe you haven’t experienced that power of God’s Holy Spirit because you are still as babe in Christ.
それとも、あなたがまだキリストにあって幼いために、あなたは神様の聖霊の力を経験し たことが無いかもしれません。
If you are a brand new Christian, it takes time to learn and grow in the Lord.
もしあなたが生まれたてのクリスチャンであれば、学ぶのに時間が掛り、主にあって 成長するためには時間が掛ります。
But even a brand new Christian can experience the power of the Holy Spirit.
しかし、生まれてのクリスチャンでさえも聖霊の力を経験できます。
The Power of the Holy Spirit is not dependent upon our knowledge of Him.
聖霊の力は、神様についての私たちの知識によるのではありません。
d) Maybe like those in Corinth (1 Cor 3), you need to be rebuke because you’ve been a Christian for a little while now, but you are still acting like a baby spiritually.
恐らくコリントの人々のように（第一コリント 3 章）、あなたは叱責される必要がありま す。なぜならあなたはしばらくの間クリスチャンですが、まだ霊的には幼い子供のように 振る舞っているからです。
And you haven’t been experiencing the power of the Holy Spirit because you are in a suspended state of growth.
そしてあなたは成長状態が停止したままなので、聖霊の力を経験していないのです。
e) Turn to and read 1 Corinthians 3:10-15.
第一コリント 3:10~15 を読みましょう。
Let the building up of our spiritual life continue by learning how to listen to and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit that we too might tap in the explosive power that glorifies God.
どのように聖霊の導きに聞き従うかを学び続けることで、私たちの霊的いのちを建て 上げて行きましょう。そうすることで私たちも神の栄光を称える爆発的な力を取り入 れる事ができます。
You have more power to resist sin than the Devil does in trying to tempt you.
悪魔があなたを誘惑しようとする力よりも、罪を拒むためのより大きな力をあなたは 持っています。
Christian, You have more power within you than the Devil does with him.
クリスチャンのみなさん、悪魔が自分の中に持っている力よりも、より大きな力をあ なたは自分の内に持っています。
That’s why the Apostle John writes in 1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
それがヨハネが第一ヨハネ 4:4 にこのように書いている理由です、「子どもたちよ。 あなたがたは神から出た者です。そして彼らに勝ったのです。あなたがたのうちにお られる方が、この世のうちにいる、あの者よりも力があるからです。
Revelation 13:3 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally
wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.
黙示録 13:3 その頭のうちの一つは打ち殺されたかと思われたが、その致命的な傷も直ってしまった。
そこで、全地は驚いて、その獣に従い、
1. Here’s the implication, that like Christ, it will appear that this world leader will have suffering a mortal wound, but have been resurrected from the dead.
どうもキリストのようです。この世のリーダーは苦しい致命傷を負いますが、死から蘇りました。
a. This does not mean that the Antichrist will actually die and be resurrected.
これは、反キリストが実際に死んで蘇ることを意味していません。
b. Remember, Satan is the master of deception.
覚えていますか、サタンは偽りの名人です。
c. Even John’s words allude to this, he saw on his heads “as if it had been mortally wounded”
さらにヨハネの言葉は、獣の頭に致命的な傷があるかのようなのを見たことを暗示しています。 Revelation 13:4 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to
the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is
able to make war with him?”
黙示録 13:4 そして、竜を拝んだ。獣に権威を与えたのが竜だからである。また彼らは獣をも拝んで、
「だれがこの獣に比べられよう。だれがこれと戦うことができよう。」と言った。
1. Satan has always wanted to be worshiped like God.
サタンは、いつも神様のように拝まれたいと思っています。
a. And the same can be said of the Antichrist who is Satan personified.
そして、サタンの化身である反キリストにも同じことが言えます。
b. Daniel 11:36 describes the Antichrist, it says, …he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done.
ダニエル 11:36 では反キリストについて書いています、「この王は、思いのままにふるまい、すべ ての神よりも自分を高め、大いなるものとし、神の神に向かってあきれ果てるようなことを語り、 憤りが終わるまで栄える。定められていることが、なされるからである。」

c. Paul also wrote of the Antichrist in 2 Thessalonians 2:4, which says, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
パウロは反キリストについて第二テサロニケ 2:4 でこのように書いています。「彼は、すべて神と 呼ばれるもの、また礼拝されるものに反抗し、その上に自分を高く上げ、神の宮の中に座を設け、 自分こそ神であると宣言します。」
2. The end times will be filled with Satan worship.
終わりの時は、サタン礼拝で満たされます。
a. Scary stuff.
恐ろしいことです。
b. But did you know that it’s happening today as well?
しかし、これが現在でも同じように起こる事をあなたは知っていましたか？
c. I’m not talking about outright Satanic worship, which does occur, but I’m talking about the sum of all false religions.
私は、公然としての悪魔礼拝について話しているのではありません。それは時には起こるのですが 、しかし私はすべての偽の宗教について話しているのです。
d. In 1 Corinthians 10:20 Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God…
第一コリント 10:20 では、「いや、彼らのささげる物は、神にではなくて悪霊にささげられている 、と言っているのです。私は、あなたがたに悪霊と交わる者になってもらいたくありません。」
1) When someone enters into religious practices that are worshipping and exalting anyone or anything except Jesus Christ and God the Father, they are in essence worshipping Satan.
イエス・キリストと父なる神様以外の誰かや何かを拝んだり高く上げたりする宗教に誰かが入 るとき、彼らは本質的にサタンを礼拝しているのです。
Revelation 13:5-6 5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and
blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 6 Then
he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.
黙示録13:5～6 :5 この獣は、傲慢なことを言い、けがしごとを言う口を与えられ、四十二か月間
活動する権威を与えられた。:6 そこで、彼はその口を開いて、神に対するけがしごとを言い始めた 。すなわち、神の御名と、その幕屋、すなわち、天に住む者たちをののしった。
1. The Antichrist will no doubt have charisma. With his mouth, he will be able to persuade the people.
反キリストには間違いなくカリスマ性があるでしょう。反キリストは人々を言葉で信じ込ませることが できるでしょう。
a. Like many of the dictators of the past that rose to power being word wizards so too the Antichrist will speak great things.

b. But he will also be speaking blasphemy against God and the people who are on earth will love him for it.

c. Sadly, this type of attitude has already taken root and is growing.

2) These types of attitudes are setting the stage for the Antichrist to come and lead the people further away from God.
このような態度は、反キリストが来て人々を神様から離れるように導く土台を作っています。 Revelation 13:7-8 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and
to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
黙示録13:7～8 :7 彼はまた聖徒たちに戦いをいどんで打ち勝つことが許され、また、あらゆる部族
、民族、国語、国民を支配する権威を与えられた。:8 地に住む者で、ほふられた小羊のいのちの書 に、世の初めからその名の書きしるされていない者はみな、彼を拝むようになる。
1. Some have suggested that the church will be on earth during the Tribulation because it says here in verse 7 that the beast will make war with the saints.
ある人々は、教会は患難時代に地上にあるだろう、と言います。なぜならこの 7 節で獣（反キリスト） は「聖徒たちに戦いを挑む」と書いてあるからです。
a. It is true that Christians are called saints. That title is used in the New Testament over 60 times to describe the followers of Christ.
クリスチャンが聖徒と呼ばれるのは事実です。この称号は、キリストに従う者を述べるために 60 回 以上新約聖書の中で使われています。
1) But the word saint is not limited in its usage to the NT church alone.
しかし聖徒と言う言葉は、新約時代の教会だけに使用が限られているのではありません。
b. The word is ἅ γιος hagios and it means holy, dedicated, or consecrated.
この言葉は hagios、そしてその意味は「聖なる」、「献身的な」または「聖別された」です。
c. There are three groups of people in the Bible referred to as saints.
聖徒と呼ばれる人々の 3 つのグループが聖書の中にあります。
1) Israel – the bible is clear that they are consecrated and set apart.
イスラエル－聖書は、イスラエルは聖別され区別されていることを明確にしています。
a) Through the Old Testament the word “saints” referred to them.
旧約聖書を通して、イスラエルは聖徒という言葉で呼ばれています。
2) The New Testament Church

3) The group found here in Revelation, it refers to those who come to the faith during the Tribulation period.
黙示録で分かるグループは、患難時代に信仰を持つ人々を聖徒と呼びます。
d. Another reason we know this is not referring to the church is because it says that the beast will overcome them.
もう一つの理由は、これは教会のことではないことを私たちは知っています。なぜなら、「獣は彼 らに打ち勝つ」と言っているからです。
1) Jesus told Peter and the disciples in Matthew 16:18, “…I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”
イエス様はペテロと弟子たちにマタイ 16:18 でこのように教えられました、「わたしはこの岩 の上にわたしの教会を建てます。ハデスの門もそれには打ち勝てません。」
2) The church will not be overcome, therefore this reference cannot be speaking of the church.
教会に打ち勝つことはできません。ですからこれは教会だと言うことはできません。
2. With the church gone, those who remain on earth will sadly worship the beast.
a. Everyone accept those whose names are written in the Book of Life; these are the ones who have been washed in the blood of the Lamb (Rev 7:14, 12:11).
いのちの書に名前が書き記されている人々の全て；これらの人々は子羊の血によって洗われた人々 です。(黙示録 7:14, 12:11)
b. These are the ones who have been saved by faith through grace (Eph 2:8).
これらの人々は、恵みのゆえに信仰によって救われたのです。(エペソ 2:8)
3. God is omniscient which means He’s all-knowing.
神様は博識者, 神様はすべてをご存じであると言う意味です。
a. And God is Sovereign which means in control of all things.
そして神様は主権者、全てを支配しておられると言う意味です。
Revelation 13:9-10 9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear. 10 He who leads into
captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
黙示録13:9～10 :9 耳のある者は聞きなさい。:10 とりこになるべき者は、とりこにされて行く。
剣で殺す者は、自分も剣で殺されなければならない。ここに聖徒の忍耐と信仰がある。
1. What the Apostle John is saying here is that the end times forces that were against them would soon be done away with: The beast, persecution, their problems and difficulties.
ここで使徒のヨハネが言っていることは、終わりの時に聖徒に反対しているもろもろの権力はすぐにな くなります：権力とは獣、迫害、問題や困難です。
2. That’s why I need to read the Book of Revelation over and over again.
これが、黙示録を何回も繰り返して読む必要がある理由です。
a. It’s not about deciphering the mark of the Beast.
黙示録は獣の印の解釈についてではありません。
b. It’s not written to help us figure out who the false prophet or Antichrist is.
黙示録は、私たちが偽の預言者または反キリストが誰かを理解するように書かれたのではありませ ん。
c. It’s written to give us hope and to bring us back constantly to the fact that life is short and we’ll be in heaven soon.

3. The person who doesn’t understand the Book of Revelation will go through life in his own personal tribulation.

a. But the person who grabs hold of Revelation will live in a state of anticipation and celebration.

b. Every single one of us will either go through this week in tribulation or celebration.

c. Life is short. The Lord is in control. We’re going to heaven. That’s what this book is about.

1. So let’s tap into the power that God has made available to us through His Holy Spirit in order to help those around us know that a relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important thing we need.
