USE DIRECTIONS
Initial and residual control are contingent upon thorough crop cov erage. Apply w ith ground or air equipment using sufficient w ater to obtain full cov erage of foliage.
Apply in a minimum of 2 gal. per acre by air or 10 gal. per acre by ground unless otherw ise specified in this label. When foliage is dense or pest pressure is high (heav ier insect or egg pressure, larger larv al stages), use of higher application v olumes and/or higher use rates may improv e initial and residual control.
For cutw orm control, Omni Brand Lambda 1 EC may be applied before, during or after planting. For soil incorporated applications, use higher rates for improv ed control.
RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
Omni Brand Lambda 1 EC is a Group 3 Insecticide (contains the activ e ingredient lambda- cy halothrin). Some insects are know n to dev elop resistance to products used repeatedly for control. Because the dev elopment of Resistance cannot be predicted, the use of this product should conform to resistance management strategies established for the use area. Consult y our local or state agricultural authorities for details.
If resistance to this product dev elops in y our area, this product, or other products w ith a similar mode of action, may not prov ide adequate control. If poor

4 SPRAY DRIFT REQUIREMENTS
Wind Direction and Speed
Only apply this product if the w ind direction fav ors on-target deposition. Do not apply w hen the w ind v elocity exceeds 15 mph.
Temperature Inversion
Do not make aerial or ground applications into temperature inv ersions.
Inv ersions are characterized by stable air and increasing temperatures w ith height abov e the ground. Mist or fog may indicate the presence of an inv ersion in humid areas. The applicator may detect the presence of an inv ersion by producing smoke and observ ing a smoke lay er near the ground surface.
Droplet Size
Use only medium or coarser spray nozzles (for ground and non-ULV aerial application) according to ASAE (S572) definition for standard nozzles. In conditions of low humidity and high temperatures, applicators should use a coarser droplet size.
Additional Requirements for Ground Applications
Wind speed must be measured adjacent to the application site on the upw ind side, immediately prior to application.
For ground boom applications, apply using a nozzle height of no more than 4 feet abov e the ground or crop canopy .
For airblast applications, turn off outw ard pointing nozzles at row ends and w hen spray ing the outer tw o row s. To minimize spray loss ov er the top in orchard applications,- spray must be directed into the canopy .
Additional Requirements for Aerial Applications
The spray boom should be mounted on the aircraft as to minimize drift caused by w ingtip or rotor v ortices. The minimum practical boom length should be used and must not ex ceed 75% of the w ing span or 80% rotor diameter.
Flight speed and nozzle orientation must be considered in determining drop size.
Spray must be released at the low est height consistent w ith pest control and flight safety . Do not release spray at a height greater than 10 feet abov e the crop canopy unless a greater height is required for aircraft safety .
When applications are made w ith a cross-w ind, the sw ath w ill be displaced dow nw ard. The applicator must compensate for this displacement at the dow nw ind edge of the application area by adjusting the path of the aircraft upw ind.
CHEMIGATION Sprinkler Irrigation Application
Apply Omni Brand Lambda 1 EC at rates and timing described elsew here in this label. As local recommendations differ, consult y our local State Ex tension Serv ice or other local ex perts for recommendations on adjuv ant or diluent ty pes, rates and mix ing instructions. These recommendations should be prov en, through univ ersity and ex tension field trials, to be effectiv e w ith Omni Brand Lambda 1 EC applied by chemigation.
Check the irrigation sy stem to insure uniform application of w ater to all areas. Thorough cov erage of foliage is required for good control. Good agitation in the pesticide supply tank should be maintained prior to and during the entire application period:
Apply by injecting the specified rate of Omni Brand Lambda 1 EC ·into the irrigation sy stem using a metering dev ice that w ill introduce a constant flow and by distributing the product to the target area in 0.1-0.2 acre-inch of w ater. In general; use the least amount of w ater required for proper distribution and cov erage. It is recommended that the product be injected into the main irrigation line ahead of a right angle turn in the line to insure adequate dispersion or mix ing in the irrigation w ater. Once the application is completed, flush the entire irrigation and injection sy stem w ith clean w ater before stopping the sy stem.
In addition to the abov e recommendations, if application is being made during a normal irrigation set of a stationary sprinkler, the recommended rate of Omni Brand Lambda 1 EC for the area cov ered should be injected into the sy stem only during the end of the irrigation set for sufficient time to prov ide adequate cov erage and product distribution.
It is not recommended that Omni Brand Lambda 1 EC be applied through an irrigation sy stem connected to a public w ater sy stem. Public w ater sy stem means a sy stem for the prov ision to the public of piped w ater for human consumption, if such sy stem has at least 15 serv ice connections or regularly serv es an av erage of at least 25 indiv iduals daily at least 60 day s out of the y ear.
Use Precautions: Sprinkler Irrigation Application
A. Apply this product only through (sprinkler including center piv ot, lateral mov e, end tow , side [w heel] roll, trav eler, big gun, solid set, or hand mov e) irrigation sy stem(s). Do not apply this product through any other ty pe of irrigation sy stem.
B. Crop injury , lack of effectiv eness, or illegal pesticide residues in the crop can result from nonuniform distribution of treated w ater.
C. If y ou hav e questions about calibration, y ou should contact State Ex tension Serv ice specialists, equipment manufacturers or other ex perts.
D. Do not connect an irrigation sy stem (including greenhouse sy stems) used for pesticide application to a public w ater sy stem unless the pesticide label- prescribed safety dev ices for public w ater sy stems are in place.
5 E. A person know ledgeable of the chemigation sy stem and responsible for its operation, or under the superv ision of the responsible person, shall shut the sy stem
dow n and make necessary adjustments should the need arise.
F. The sy stem must contain a functional check v alv e. Vacuum relief v alv e, and low pressure drain appropriately located on the irrigation pipeline to prev ent w ater- source contamination from backflow .
G. The pesticide injection pipeline must contain a functional, automatic, quick- closing check v alv e to prev ent the flow of fluid back tow ard the injection pump.
H. The pesticide injection pipeline must also contain a functional, normally closed, solenoid-operated v alv e located on the intake side of the injection pump and connected to the sy stem interlock to prev ent fluid from being w ithdraw n from the supply tank w hen the irrigation sy stem is either automatically or manually shut dow n.
I. The sy stem must contain functional interlocking controls to automatically shut off the pesticide injection pump w hen the w ater pump motor stops.
J. The irrigation line or w ater pump must include a functional pressure sw itch w hich w ill stop the w ater pump motor w hen the w ater pressure decreases to the point w here pesticide distribution is adv ersely affected.
K. Sy stems must use a metering pump, such as a positiv e displacement injection pump (e.g., diaphragm pump) effectiv ely designed and constructed of materials that are compatible w ith pesticides and capable of being fitted w ith a sy stem interlock.
L. Any alternativ es to the abov e required safety dev ices must conform to the list of EPA-approv ed alternativ e dev ices.
M. Do not apply w hen w ind speed fav ors drift bey ond the area intended for treatment or non-uniform distribution of treated w ater.
N. Do not apply through chemigation sy stems connected to public w ater sy stems.
