“The 13th Free consultation for
foreigners by specialists” was
held.
Date: 4 July, 2015, from 13:00 to 15:30
Place: Tachikawa city Josei Sogo center 5 floor
15 people( 2 men, 13 women) came for consultation. Their nationality were, 3 Filipinos, two Chinese, two Japanese, a Peruvian, a Thai, a Korean, a Sri Lankan, a Russian, a Colombian, a Tanzanian and a Salvadorean. Questionnaires for them showed that they are mostly satisfied with the
consultation. Questionnaire for the staff also showed that staff were satisfied with the contribution for the consultation and that they wanted to join next year as well.

比率为93%，大家基本上都满意而

“Let’s learn about earthquake prevention with Japanese!” was
held.
Date: 18, July 2015, Sat. 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm
The first half: Lecture about earthquake prevention at Tachikawa City Hall 208 meeting room. 1:30 pm ~ 2:00 pm
The latter half: Experience at BOSAIKAN 2:45 pm ~ 4:45 pm
40 foreigners and Japanese joined in this earthquake prevention event.
The first half was lecture by Ms. Junko Kurahachi , with easy Japanese and ppt.
She lectured about the points when the earthquake happened and the points to prepare for the earthquake from the point of
“self-help”, “help-together”, and
“public-help”.
Participants listened attentively. For those who could not understand Japanese, English interpreter and Chinese interpreter interpreted the lecture. After the lecture, emergency foods:
“kanpan(dried biscuit)” and “okayu(porridge) ” were given.
For the latter half, participants were divided into three groups and moved to BOSAIKAN and went through 4 experiences out of the following 5 events: earthquake prevention mini theater, experience of earthquake, experience of smoke, drill for extinguishing a fire and drill for first-aid.
Participants joined seriously. A participant from Norway, came to Japan three months ago, said.
“We do not have earthquake in
Norway. I first experienced earthquake in Japan in June,
which was scary.” She struggled
for all the experiences with great interest.
A participant from India experienced the earthquake as strong as east Japan big earthquake and was frightened,
saying “scaring!!”
Foreigners and Japanese shared nice time through this earthquake prevention program.
