Usage procedures
1. Registration
Prior registration is necessary. Please apply at the reception desk. A usage registration certiicate will be issued.
2. Conirming availability
Please check available times at the reception desk. The information will also be posted on the city website, updated periodically.
3. Application
Please submit a usage application form to the reception desk.
Application period
▶ Reservation by lottery system
A lottery drawing will take place at 10 a.m. on the first day of the month, six months prior to the month the usage is desired.
▶ Reservation on as-needed basis
Applications will be accepted from 2 p.m. on the first day of the month, six months prior to the month the usage is desired until the day before desired use.
Example: A lottery will be held on 10 a.m. on May 1 for desired use in November. Applications for reservations on an as-needed basis will begin at 2 p.m. on the same day.

The gymnasium, ield, and parking lot of Machizukuri Activity Plaza are still under
construction. The gymnasium will open in
late June, while the ield and parking lot
will open in mid-July. Information will be posted once the date for starting usage is decided. Please use public transportation
until the parking lot opens.
Machizukuri Activity Plaza to Be Partially Opened
The former building of Irifune Kita Elementary School, which closed in FY2014 due to
the merging of elementary schools in the Irufune area, will reopen as Machizukuri Activity Plaza. The facility will allow city residents of any age to interact and participate in a variety of activities.
The multipurpose rooms, where city residents can take part in activities such as of civic activity groups and residential associations, opened on April 24. Starting in June,
eight organizations chosen through public recruitment and four city programs will begin
activities in the facility once their preparations are complete.
The ground will continue to act as a regional base for many events and activities, and will continue to develop as an area where people of all ages can gather and stay active.
Panda Room, Urayasu Central Hospital’s post-illness childcare service room, will be relocated to Higashino.
Accordingly, post-illness childcare services, where children can be left on a temporary basis, will begin in the new location.

You must attend this workshop to use the training rooms in these facilities.
Eligibility: People 16 years or older
Capacity: Spor ts Park Gymnasium: Ten people per workshop; Chuo Martial Arts Gymnasium: Six people per workshop (first-come, first-served for both; childcare services may be available depending on the session)

Home Shuttle Bus
Urayasu City operates a shuttle bus for Urayasu City Funeral Home as a means of transportation for mourners. A shuttle bus will be sent to a public facility in Urayasu City designated by the bereaved family, and make a round trip to and from Urayasu City Funeral Home.
Eligibility: Urayasu City residents who use Urayasu City Funeral Home
Fee: ¥5,000 per day (one round-trip per day)
Note: ¥10,000 if you will be using it for a two-day period for the wake and memorial service
Application: Apply for a shuttle bus when applying for use of Urayasu City Funeral Home.

Transmission Training

Financial Assistance for
School Attendance
Urayasu City offers inancial assistance for school supplies and other fees to parents who have inancial dificulty in sending their child through compulsory education.
Program description: Expenses for annual school supplies, supplies for newly entering students, off-campus activities, school trips, school lunches, medical fees designated by the School Health and Safety Act, and the yearbook (paid four times per year via the school principal)
Screening procedures: The Board of Education conducts screening procedures and makes a decision based on income, the principal’s evaluation, and family investigation (only when necessary)
Application: Submit your application form (available at each school) and a letter of consent or documentation to certify your income (such as a city/prefecture resident’s tax certiicate) in person with the school of enrollment.

Pay Motor Vehicle Tax by

The deadline for the payment of motor vehicle tax is May 31 (Thu.). The automobile taxation office will mail the tax payment notiication in early May. Land Re-adjustment Project around
Urayasu Station
To better use the city-owned land we have acquired, we have been in discussion with related organizations (including Chiba Prefecture and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism), and as a result, we have gained approval from the prefecture to start city planning projects. As a first step, we will be working to solve the offset intersection between Yanagi-dori Street and the newly constructed road, and securing sidewalks for safe access to Urayasu Elementary School and Urayasu Station.
