33 NOTES ON CONTRIBUTORS

HAYATO OKAreceived his B.A. (2010) and M.A. (2012) in English from Doshisha University. He is currently a graduate student at Doshisha University. His recent research interest is the study of Mary Shelley's six novels. He has written an article titled "Otherness Forever: Reading Mary Shelley's Frankenstein through Pictorial and Aesthetic Terms" published on 20 January 2014.

MASAYA SHIMOKUSU received his M.A. (1993) and Ph.D.

(2001) in English from Sophia University. He is a professor in the English Department of Doshisha University. He is the current editor of the Journal of Irish Studies (IASIL Japan). He recently translated Ian McDonald's The Dervish House (Hayakawa Shobo, 2014) and contributed an article on Japanese vampires to The Universal Vampire (Fairleigh Dickinson University Press, 2013).
