わ が部 門 で は 漢方薬が人体の免疫 に 及ぽす効果 を 科学的 に 解明 す る こ と を 目 標 と し ， 当 面 の テ ー マ と し て は ， 免疫疾患， エ イ ズ等難病 と い わ れ る 疾 患 に 対 し ， そ の 発症機構の解明 や 綜合的 な 治療法 の 開 発 を め ざ し て い る . 1988 年 の 研 究 は 漢 方 薬 を 利 用 し て 抗 ウ イ ル ス 作 用 - JEV(Japanese encephalitis virus)， HSV(Herpes simplex virus)，

EBV (Epstein-Barr virus)， CMV (Cytomegalo virus)， AIDS(Acquired immunodeficiency syn- drome) の 起因 ウ イ ル ス で あ る HIV(Human im­

munodeficiency virus) 等 に つ い て 研究 し た . ま た ， 免疫作用 は イ ン タ ー フ エ ロ ン， cAMP， NK 活 性， 抗体， 被動免疫 に つ い て も 研究 を 行 っ た .
