寝屋川市は、昭和 26 年 5 月 3 日に大阪府内 16 番目、人口 3 万人の市として誕生、
大阪都市圏の住宅都市として発展し、現在は人口約 24 万人を有しております。また、
市の中央には市の名前にもなっている「寝屋川」が流れております。
さて、この市勢要覧では、写真や統計資料を用いて、市政のこれまでの歩みをはじめ、
市政運営やまちづくりの方向性、市のイベントや自然、歴史、文化など今日のまちの姿を
紹介しています。
人口減少・超高齢社会の進展など、社会情勢の変化に伴い、市を取り巻く環境や市
民ニーズは多様化、複雑化しております。
そのようななか、本市の発展と市民福祉の向上のため、
「命を守る」ことを基本に、
「子
どもを守る」「街を守る」「生活（くらし）を守る」各種施策・事業を推進するとともに、
市民の皆様に暮らしが良くなったと実感していただける笑顔が広がるまちづくりに全力で
取り組んでおります。

Neyagawa City was established on May 3, 1951, as the 16th city in Osaka Prefecture with a population of 30,000 people. It has developed as a residential town in the Osaka metropolitan area. he population is currently about 240,000. In addition, Neyagawa River runs through the heart of the city which is the origin of its name.
his city handbook uses photographs and statistical data to introduce the city’s history, municipal government information, the directionality of city development, events, and what the city can ofer, such as nature, history and culture.
With the changes in social situations, such as the advance of a declining population and super-aged society, the environment surrounding the city and the needs of the citizens are becoming diversiied and complicated.
Under such circumstances, for the city’s development and enhancement of citizens’ well-being, we centrally focus on protecting the lives of the citizens and promote various initiatives and projects for the protection of children, the town, and the livelihoods of its citizens. In addition, we are dedicating all of our strength to develop a city where the citizens have smiles on their faces and feel that they are living a beter life.

네야가와시는 1951년 5월 3일에 오사카부 내 16번째, 인구 3만 명의 시로서 탄생했으며, 오사카 도시권의 주택도시로 발전해 현재는 약 24만 명의 인구가 살고 있습니다. 또한 네야가와시 중앙에는 시의 이름이 유래된 “네야 강”이 흐르고 있습니다.
한편 이 시세 요람에서는 사진 및 통계자료를 이용해 시정의 발자취부터 시정 운영 및 도시 조성의 방향성, 네야가와시의 이벤트, 자연, 역사, 문화 등 지금까지 이어진 도시의 모습을 소개합니다.
인구 감소, 초고령사회의 진행 등 사회 정세 변화에 따라 네야가와시를 둘러싼 환경과 시민 요구는 다양화, 복잡화하고 있습니다. 이러한 환경 속에서 네야가와시의 발전과 시민복지 향상을 위해 “생명 보호”를 기본으로 “어린이 보호”, “도시 보호”, “생활 보호”의 각종 시책 및 사업을 추진하는 동시에 시민 여러분께서 생활이 나아졌다고 느끼시고, 미소가 퍼져 나가는 도시 조성을 위해 매진하고 있습니다. 네야가와시의 더 큰 발전을 위해 시민 여러분의 많은 협조 바랍니다.
寝屋川市于1951年5月3日作为大阪府内第16号市创立，当时人口为3万人，之后，作为大阪都市圈的住宅都市获得发展，到如今已拥有人 口约24万人。另外，在市的中央，有以市的名字命名的“寝屋川”流过。
