講義目的及び到達目標 Cultural anthropology is a discipline that examines the cultural and social diversity of people.
In this course, students are encouraged to learn about different cultures and reflect up on their own culture in a comparative perspective.
講義内容・授業計画 I. Course Content
Students will learn how notions of communication, family, kinship, gender and marriag e vary from one society to another.
Furthermore, this course introduces the key research methods and the history of anthr opology.
Students will also critically reflect upon the concept of culture. II. Course Schedule

Unexcused absence of more than 30 percent may result in no credit for the course. Students are expected to complete the readings before class and be prepared to answe r questions and contribute to class discussion.
