Call for Papers
for
Thought Currents in English Literature,
Vol. 89
The English Literary Society of Aoyama Gakuin University welcomes articles on English and American literature, linguistics, English education and communication. If an author plans to contribute an article for Thought Currents in English Literature, Vol. 89 (published in December 2016), the application form should be submitted to the English Department Office (Building 15, 9F) by 4 PM July 2, 2016. Authors are required to follow the guidelines of our journal specified below.
1. Submissions will be accepted only from members of the Society. The annual membership fee must be paid prior to submitting an article. (Part-time teachers may join the society as supporting members. The membership fee is 2,000 JPY per year. The application form and payment slip for the membership are available at the English Department Office).
2. Submitted articles should be unpublished, but papers that have been delivered at conferences are eligible if this is noted on the cover page.
3. The deadline for actually submitting the article is 4 PM September 24, 2016. Authors are required to submit both a hard copy on paper and an electronic version. Authors need to submit digital storage media such as CD-R or USB that contain the electronic files of the articles.
4. Submitted articles should be formatted in MS WORD file (.doc or .docx) or Rich Text Files (.rtf). Excluding the cover page, the articles should not exceed 35 pages when printed on A4 paper, including the main text, any footnotes, bibliography, diagrams, tables, graphs, numerical formulae, and figures. Each page should not be longer than 25 lines.
5. When articles from authors with supporting membership are accepted for publication, they need to pay 1,500 JPY for the printing costs.
