xchange Program Details /短期留学生プログラムの詳細

Eligibility requirements, application procedures, exchange period, academics, fees, and other important details about the YGU Exchange Program are provided in “2018 年度 短期留学生プロ グラム募集要項” (official application guidelines for the 2018 Exchange Program). All applicants

must read through this document carefully, and prepare their application documents and study

abroad plans accordingly (in consultation with their study abroad advisors).

出願資格、出願・入学に関する手続き、留学期間、授業科目の履修、プログラム参加費等の経費など、 山梨学院大学短期留学生プログラムに関する重要な情報は、すべて「2018 年度 短期留学生プログラム 募集要項」に掲載されています。出願を希望する学生はこの「募集要項」をよく読んでください。そし て、「募集要項」の内容を理解したうえで、所属する大学の先生・担当者と出願書類の準備や留学計画 の検討を行ってください。

ield Tours and Cultural Events

The International Exchange Center provides international students with a wide variety of opportunities throughout the year to enjoy and experience Japanese customs and cultures and to communicate with Japanese students. Most of these events or tours cost from 500 yen to 2,000 yen. Some events are for free.

Yamanashi is endowed with rich nature, famous for beautiful mountains like Mt. Fuji, which was registered as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site in 2013.

山梨県は、素晴らしい自然に恵まれています。2013 年、ユネスコによって世界遺産として認定され た富士山で有名です。

Yamanashi offers the pleasure of eating different fruits all year long, such as grapes (of which we boast the largest production in Japan), cherries, peaches, as well as fresh and rich-flavored vegetables.

山梨県には国内生産量の大部分を占める葡萄をはじめ、さくらんぼ・桃などの果物や、新鮮で味わい 深い野菜など食の楽しみも年間を通して充実しています。

In Yamanashi, you can enjoy skiing, mountain trekking, relaxing at hot springs, touring wineries, and visiting many historical temples and shrines. Also, at Yamanashi Prefectural Maglev Exhibition Center, we are able to see, learn and experience the fastest bullet train in the world based on the maglev technology.

ofu-city was founded in 1519. The city’s population is 190,167 (as of Dec. 2017). The

warmest month is August, with an average high temperature of 33.5℃, and the coldest is January, with an average low temperature of -2.3℃.

The shape of Kofu-city is like a crescent moon and it is famous for gem cutting and processing. 甲府市は 1519 年に始まり、人口は 190,167 人(2017 年 12 月現在)で、8 月の平均最高気温 33.5 度、１月平均最低気温は-2.3 度です。甲府市は三日月型をしていて、宝石研磨産業が盛んな都市です。

akuin was founded in 1946 in the city of Kofu, Yamanashi Prefecture.

It is an integrated academic institution with an affiliated kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, senior high school, junior college, university, and graduate school. Together these boast a combined enrollment of about 6,100 students.

山梨学院は 1946 年に山梨県甲府市に創立しました。幼稚園・小学校・中学校・高等学校・短期大学・ 大学・大学院を擁する総合学園で、総計約 6,100 名の児童・生徒・学生が在籍しています。

ctivities and Sports

Yamanashi Gakuin University has developed a variety of educational programs. It is a unique institution that offers a free and open environment and strong student support services to enable students to challenge themselves in accordance with their interests. Also YGU puts a great deal of effort into sports promotion, and contributes significantly to the development of Japanese athletics and to improving Japan’s international competitiveness. Our 17 special training clubs have demonstrated amazing results at world championships and national competitions, and the university has produced many Olympic athletes.

山梨学院大学には多くの教育プログラムがあります。自由で開かれた環境を持つ、とてもユニークな 大学で、学生一人ひとりが興味を持ったことに取り組むことが出来るよう全力でサポートしています。 また、スポーツの促進･日本のスポーツの国際競争力の強化にも大変力を注いでいます。17 の特別強化 部は世界選手権大会及び国際大会で素晴らしい結果を残しており、多くのオリンピック選手も輩出して います。
