Grasp ® SC

EPA Reg. No. 62719-500

EPA 24(c) Special Local Need Registration SLN TX-080008 For Distribution and Use Only in the State of Texas

Aerial Application to Rice of Tank Mixes of Grasp SC plus Command 3ME and Grasp SC plus Command 3ME and Other Herbicides

ATTENTION

• Federal law prohibits the use of tihs product in a manner inconsistent with all applicable directions, restrictions, and precautions found in the labeling of the federally registered product and accompanying supplementl labeling.

• This labeling must be in the possession of the user at the time of application.

• Read the label affixed to the container for Grasp® SC herbicide before applying. Carefully follow all precautionary statements and applicable use directions.

• Use of Grasp SC according to this supplemental labeling is subject to all use precautions and limitations imposed by the label affixed to the container for Grasp SC.

Directions for Use

Aerially apply tank mixes of Grasp SC plus Command 3ME or Grasp SC plus Command 3ME and other herbicides for weed management in rice. The following herbicides may be tank mixed with Grasp SC plus Command 3ME for additional weed spectrum: Grandstand® R herbicide; Facet; Quinstar; Permit; SuperWham (3’,4’-

dichloropropionanilide); Facet + Permit; Quinstar + Permit.

The addition of a crop oil concentrate or methylated seed oil at 1 quart per acre must be included.

Uniformly apply Grasp SC or tank mixes of Grasp SC by aircraft in no less than 10 gallons of water per acre total spray volume. Apply postemergence to the rice at the 1 to 2 leaf stage of growth and when weeds and grasses are small. Weeds and grasses should be actively growing at the time of application. If not, flush field in sufficient time so that rice and weeds are actively growing at time of treatment. Any factor, such as reduced spray volume, which adversely affects coverage and canopy penetration will have a negative effect on the performance of Grasp SC.

Use nozzle types and arrangements that provide maximum coverage and minimize the potential for off target movement of spray particles.

Use Rates

Grasp SC - 2 to 2.3 fl oz per acre

Command 3ME – Refer to the 24(c) Special Local Need registration for Command 3ME for rates, aerial use directions, and precautions.

Permit, Grandstand R, Facet, Quinstar, and SuperWham – Refer to the product label for rate, use directions, and precautions.

Specific Use Precautions

Precautions must be taken to minimize off-target drift of pesticide applications. Off-target movement of Command 3ME can cause foliar whitening or yellowing of some plants. Do not make applications containing Command 3ME when spray particles may be carried by air currents to areas where sensitive crops and plants are growing or if temperature inversions exist. Prior to application, adjacent properties must be checked and applications within 300 feet of desirable plants must be avoided.

Restrictions

• Do not make more than one application during the growing season in both the first and ratoon crops combined.

• When propanil is used as a tank mix partner, there is a 7-day water holding (discharge) interval for all propanil application sites, except there is a 10-day discharge interval in south Texas, south of I-10 from the Texas/Louisiana border to Houston and east of State Highway 35 from Houston to Port Lavaca.

• Flood waters must be held for the time specified unless excessive rainfall completely submerges the rice crop and forces premature release.
