Form（構文）: She was working.（彼女は働いていた。）
NP1 be (past) + V (-ing) （名詞句）（be 動詞の過去形）(動詞-ing)
a.It is used to express a past activity in progress while another activity occurred.（過去 進行形は、何かが起こったときに進行していた過去の活動を表します）
Example: The phone rang while I was reading a book.
（私が本を読んでいた間に電話が鳴りました。）
b. It is used to express two past activities in progress at the same time.（また、同時進行 している２つの過去の活動を表します）
Example: While I was answering the phone, my brother was watching TV.
