(4) . An empirical study of the effects of rural landscape management on land prices. Motohiro ADACHI Abstract The rural economy in Japan has deteriorated since the burst of the economic bubble (i.e. the 1990s) and there has been no appropriate remedy to solve this acute situation in the regional economy. One way to tackle such problems is to refine regional attractiveness such as local industries as well as local landscapes. In particular, the landscape in local areas is possibly a last resort for the betterment of the rural economy in that it can attract tourists, while such a landscape is vulnerable under the pressure of rural development. This paper examines the relations between the effects of landscape management on land prices referring to the number of visitors (i.e. tourists), relying on panel data techniques, and using the data sets of data of Shiga prefecture. This paper concludes that the policy of landscape protection significantly increases land prices in rural areas.. 2 0 0 8

Here we continue this line of research and study a quasistatic frictionless contact problem for an electro-viscoelastic material, in the framework of the MTCM, when the foundation
We present sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions to Neu- mann and periodic boundary-value problems for some class of quasilinear ordinary differential equations.. We
In [7], assuming the well- distributed points to be arranged as in a periodic sphere packing [10, pp.25], we have obtained the minimum energy condition in a one-dimensional case;
We shall see below how such Lyapunov functions are related to certain convex cones and how to exploit this relationship to derive results on common diagonal Lyapunov function (CDLF)
Since we are interested in bounds that incorporate only the phase individual properties and their volume fractions, there are mainly four different approaches: the variational method
Analogs of this theorem were proved by Roitberg for nonregular elliptic boundary- value problems and for general elliptic systems of differential equations, the mod- ified scale of
