FOR CONTROL OF ARMYWORMS, CUTWORMS, FRUITWORMS, AND OBLIQUEBANDED LEAFROLLER IN CANEBERRIES

Directions for Use

Pests Controlled, Application Rates, Method, Timing, and Resistance Management:

EXIREL® insect control is recommended for control of lepidopteran pests including armyworms, cutworms, fruitworms (cherry fruitworm; Grapholita packardi, cranberry fruitworm; Acrobasis vaccinii), and obliquebanded leafroller (Choristoneura rosaceana) in caneberries (Crop Subgroup 13-07A).

Apply EXIREL insect control at 10 – 20.5 fl. oz./A (0.065 – 0.133 LB AI/a) as a foliar spray.

Thorough coverage is essential to achieve best results. Select a spray volume appropriate for the size of plants and density of fruit and foliage.

Armyworms, Cutworms, and Fruitworms:

For best results make application when larvae are small. Larger larvae may require higher rates.

Obliquebanded leafroller (Choristoneura rosaceana):

For overwintering larvae, apply in the spring at first sign of active feeding.

For summer generations, apply just prior to or at the beginning of egg hatch. Leafroller feeding stops after ingestion of treated foliage, however, during periods of cold weather when leafrollers are inactive, it may take several days to achieve complete control.

Resistance Management for Obliquebanded Leafroller:

For resistance management purposes, only apply EXIREL insect control (or other Group 28 insecticides) to one generation of obliquebanded leafroller per year. Application(s) to other generations of obliquebanded leafroller should be with an effective product with a different mode of action (i.e. a product with a different IRAC group number).

See the RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT section of the EXIREL insect control Federal label for additional guidance regarding insecticide resistance management.

See ‘Tank Mixtures and Crop Safety’ section on the EXIREL insect control label for more information and for guidance regarding crop response for tested tank mixtures.

USE RESTRICTIONS

Do not apply more than 0.4 lb a.i. of cyantraniliprole-containing products per acre per calendar year.

The minimum retreatment interval is 5 days.

The preharvest interval is 1 days.

The field re-entry interval is 12 hours.
