ANNOUNCEMENT: ON PUBLICATION OF THE

JAPANESE JOURNAL OF STATISTICS AND DATA SCIENCE

Wataru Sakamoto and Hiroshi Yadohisa

We, the Japanese Society of Computational Statistics (JSCS), have published the

Jour-nal of the Japanese Society of ComputatioJour-nal Statistics (JJSCS) for 30 years since its

foun-dation. We decided to take over the role of JJSCS to the new journal named the Japanese

Journal of Statistics and Data Science (JJSD), to publish more international-level articles

and to enhance the value of our journal. JJSD is published by the Japanese Federation of Statistical Science Associations (JFSSA) and is to be first published in 2018. JSCS will be responsible for publishing JJSD as a member of JFSSA.

The following is a part of the Aim and Scope of JJSD:

The aim of the Japanese Journal of Statistics and Data Science (JJSD) is to publish original articles concerning statistical theories and novel applications in diverse research fields related to statistics and data science. It also sometimes publishes review and expository articles on specific topics, which are expected to bring valuable information for researchers interested in the fields selected. The journal also contributes to broadening the coverage of statistics and data analysis in publishing articles based on innovative ideas. All articles are refereed by experts.

For more details, please visit the website of JJSD at the following URL: http://www.springer.com/statistics/journal/42081

An online submission system for JJSD is accessible from the above website. We look forward to receiving your submissions.

Finally, we would like to express our deep gratitude to all JSCS members for their great cooperation in publication of JJSCS, and we would appreciate your understanding about publication of JJSD. We would also like to show our sincere appreciation for excellent works of publishing JJSCS by Nishio General Printing Co., Ltd. for long years.
