Tom : Uh huh.
An na : Nice t o m eet you. Have you wor ked her e long?
Tom : Sor r y, I 'm quit e busy right now – I 've got a big deal j ust com ing t hr ough. But let 's get t oget her som et im e. Um ... can you do lunch t om or r ow?
An na : You want m e t o do lunch? Well, I 'm not ver y -
( Telephone rings)
Tom : Sor r y, im port ant client . Lunch t om orr ow at 12.30 t hen?

An na : Fine, t he kit chen's t hr ough t here, isn't it ?

( Kit chen noises as Anna st art s pr eparing lunch)

An na : Oh hi, Denise!
D e n ise: What are you doing?
An na : Cooking lunch for Tom .

An na : Tom asked m e t o have lunch ready for 12.30.

Tom : Er , Anna.
An na : Hi Tom !
Tom : What are you doing?
An na : Spr ing r olls, followed by cr ispy duck in black bean sauce.
Tom : No, I m ean, why ar e you cooking?
An na : Well, if I don't st ar t now, it won't be r eady for you by 12.30.
Tom : Oh, you m isunder st ood m e, Anna. When I said "Can you do lunch?" it didn't m ean " Can you m ake lunch?" I t m eant "Ar e you available t o com e t o lunch wit h m e?" I n a cafe or som et hing.
