Thank you for your continued support of Mitsubishi integrated FA software MELSOFT series.
In MELSOFT iQ Works, some problems such as uninstallation failure or partial operation failure of the application may occur depending on the combination of the installed versions.
This bulletin provides the precautions for installation and corrective actions for problems that have occurred.
1. Precautions for installation
1.1 Installing MELSOFT Navigator Version 1 on a personal computer on which MELSOFT Navigator Version 2 has already been installed.
Uninstall MELSOFT Navigator Version 2 from the control panel, and then install MELSOFT Navigator Version 1.
If the pre-installed MELSOFT Navigator Version 2 is overwritten with MELSOFT Navigator Version 1 without uninstallation of the MELSOFT Navigator Version 2, the MELSOFT Navigator Version 1 cannot be uninstalled normally.
Refer to the section ‘2.1 Corrective action when MELSOFT Navigator Version 1 cannot be uninstalled’ if the uninstallation failed.
1.2 Applications for both MELSOFT iQ Works Version 1 and MELSOFT iQ Works Version 2 have been installed.
The application(s) may not operate normally when the applications for MELSOFT iQ Works Version 1 and for MELSOFT iQ Works Version 2 have been installed in the following combinations.
(1) When GX Works3 and MELSOFT Navigator Version 1 have been installed, the Module Configuration Diagram of GX Works3 may not operate.
Refer to the section ‘2.2 Corrective action when the Module Configuration Diagram of GX Works3 does not operate’ if it does not operate.
(2) When MT Developer2 for MELSOFT iQ Works Version 1 and MELSOFT iQ Works Version 2 (MELSOFT Navigator, GX Works3, GX Works2, and GT Works3) have been installed, the operations to the MT Developer2 may not be performed from MELSOFT Navigator Version 2.

2. Corrective actions for problems
2.1 Corrective action when MELSOFT Navigator Version 1 cannot be uninstalled
At the uninstallation of MELSOFT Navigator Version 1, the following message may appear and result in the uninstallation failure. The corrective actions for this are shown below:
(1) Start MELSOFT iQ Works environmental reconstruction tool, “DA7648A9.exe” (*) included in MELSOFT iQ Works Version 2 product disc (Disc1) by double-clicking it.
* The storage folder for MELSOFT iQ Works environmental reconstruction tool is as shown below: DVD-ROM (Disc1): (root)¥Disk1¥DA7648A9¥DA7648A9.exe
(2) Select “Entire Deletion of the MELSOFT iQ Works Product” in the [Product Installation Explanation after the iQ Works Product is Deleted] screen of MELSOFT iQ Works environmental reconstruction tool, click the “Execute” button.

Re-install GX Works3.
2.3 Corrective action when the operations to MT Developer2 cannot be performed from MELSOFT Navigator Version 2
