On August th people from all over Nagano took to the streets to dance and celebrate the Binzuru Festival together. Nagano City international exchange corner and international exchange room worked together to coordinate a
Binzuru dance team for
international residents of Nagano city, and their Japanese friends.

Pizza!
Pizza in Japan and America is actually very different– mostly because of the types of toppings people like.
)n America, the most common way to order a pizza is to select one or two toppings from a list. Lots of people just like plain cheese, too!
The most common toppings are pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, sausage, bacon, black olives, green peppers, pineapple, and spinach.
)n Japan people choose from a set list of pizza types– such as margarita, of seafood pizza. These types come with a pre-determined set of toppings.
Many common toppings in Japan are unheard-of in the US. Americans are shocked
when they learn that Japanese enjoy pizza with toppings such as corn, potatoes, and mayonnaise. There is also no such thing as seafood pizza in the US– the only fish topping you can order is anchovies, and even those are only available at specialty restaurants.
)n Japan you can order a pizza with four different topping sections, but in the US you can only order a half and half pizza.
