Coordinator
OVERVIEW
A complete coordinator application package includes all eight items listed below.
1. The application form itself—whether the online or PDF version 2. List of eight activities, lessons, or speeches
Please list eight activities, lessons, presentations, or speeches you could give if you were selected as a JOI coordinator. Your audience may be members of Japan-afiliated organizations, elemen- tary through college students or teachers, children who are part of a reading club at local libraries, adult community members of Rotary or other clubs, etc.

Important: please list lessons and activities covering a wide range of topics from traditional Japanese culture to contemporary society for different age groups.
3. One-page detailed lesson plan
Choose one of your activities or lessons from #2 above and create a detailed, one-page lesson plan. 4. Essay: Why do you wish to apply to the JOI program?
Please respond in English using 400 to 500 words.
5. Essay: What is the most challenging cross-cultural experience you have had? How did you overcome this challenge? From this experience, describe your views on cross-cultural ex- change and international understanding.
Please respond in Japanese using 600 to 800 characters.
6. Essay: Please tell us about yourself including hobbies, interests, community activities, etc. Please respond in English using 400 to 500 words.

Please be sure to indicate what computer skills you possess. Are you familiar with PCs or Mac? What programs are you comfortable using?
8. Rirekisho in Japanese

SUBMISSION
If submitting a PDF application, mail the original plus two copies to the below address.

Deadline: Must arrive in Meguro office by January 9, 2018 INTERVIEW DATE
Testing and interviews are set to take place in Tokyo on February 17, 2018. (This interview date is subject to change and will be conirmed in the autumn of 2017.) If you are currently living in a country other than Japan, please understand that you will need to interview in Tokyo on the posted interview date.
