II. Situations: What would you say in Japanese in the following situations? Use Hiragana.
1. A Japanese friend has said that her sister goes to Pierce College. Tell her that you are a Pierce College student, too.
2. You are an exchange student in Japan. Someone has kept asking you if you are British. Answer negatively (say “No”) and inform that you are not British. (Say, “I tell you, I am not British.”)
3. You are at a Japanese restaurant. You see something on the menu that you have never seen before. Ask a server if the dish is meat. (Say, “Is this meat?”)
4. Ask a store clerk if that bag over there is ¥23000.
5. Confirm your assumption that Mr. Matsuda is a lawyer. (Say, “Mr. Matsuda is a lawyer, right?”)
